The hiring process seems to be broken and something needs to be done to fix it. As I have job hunted in the past and see my connections who are currently looking for a job, here are some things that I have seen and they are currently seeing. ❌ LOW PAY for experienced positions. Experience roles should not be paying entry-level salary ❌ Interviews that require homework (no compensation for the work being done) and taking more than 5 interviews for a decision ❌ "Entry-Level" roles that say 0-1 year but after an interview, they are told they have no experience and get denied. ❌ Denial emails after multiple rounds of interviews that are copy and pasted for every person. No personalization that explains their decision and or how they can work towards the experience needed. ❌Positions that want you to be an entire department but aren't compensated for it. ❌ Being ghosted Problems like this make job hunting stressful and discouraging. Something needs to be fixed to make searching for a job easier. Network your way into a company BEFORE you apply for a job. It doesn't have to be the hiring manager. Many companies offer incentives for employees to bring in candidates.
