Did you know that #solar PV is among the most competitive electricity generation options today? Solar PV’s levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) has decreased quickly across the globe, with China among the lowest LCOEs, followed by India and Australia. Solar PV is cost competitive and, in some locations, has even gone below the fossil fuel range. ➡ To learn more about the different applications of solar PV visit our latest FactBook here: https://lnkd.in/e3GksdFH #energytransition #solarpower

Here's something about #solar PV that all UK #businesses need to know 💡 An optimal system isn't one that produces the most electricity. It's one that produces the maximum electricity for the minimum possible cost. It's why we don't often recommend the smart export guarantee like others may - because it's a better decision to use electricity at the point of generation than sell it back to the grid. It's why we won't install a #battery system unless if it will help you save money by timeshifting. It's why, before installing a solar pv system, we design it to return on your initial investment as quickly as possible - sometimes, within as few as 3.5 years. Because, when it comes to solar PV, if it's almost right for your business, it's not right. Curious about solar PV? Why not see how much you could #save with Innasol ➡️https://lnkd.in/g_TWMtmk

Off-grid solar energy becomes more accessible with costs dropping up to 28% in July 2024. The price now ranges from R143K to R381K in SA, driven by reduced load-shedding and pending electricity tariff changes. Independence from grid fluctuations is a key benefit. #SolarPower #EnergyIndependence https://lnkd.in/dkpqGCVw

The federal govt is making a billion-dollar bet on Australian-made solar panels. Under its Future Made in Australia strategy, it is willing to pump taxpayer dollars into a local solar panel manufacturing industry to try to take on the Chinese solar giants. The nascent local industry is excited at the prospect, but many economists argue it might be — at best — a waste of time and money. At worst, it might actually hold up the renewable transition. What’s your thoughts? Should Albo have just bought $1b of solar panels at a bulk buy discount? Will this transform manufacturing in Australia? How would you spend the $1b? #solar #renewableenergy #energy #solarpv #battery

It's one that produces the maximum electricity for the minimum possible cost. It's why we don't often recommend the smart export guarantee like others may - because you get maximum value from the electicity you generate by using it. 📣Lots of good info in the latest report. Perhaps the most exciting snippet is the 5GW/11GWh of utility batteries under construction. If run at 1 cycle/day, they could discharge 4 TWh/y and displace 40% of annual NEM gas use. 🙆♀️ Batteries are a net consumer of electricity. But they do mostly charge during the middle of the day from cheap solar, and discharge in the afternoon peak displacing gas.The NEM added almost 8 TWh/y of solar last year. ☀ 🔋 #lithiumion #batteryenergystorage #renewableenergy https://lnkd.in/gzVfani

Are Solar PV panels a good thing? There has been much work on addressing the risk of fire spread through a building’s walls. The threat of fire from above is covered by B ROOF (t4) (BS EN 13501-5). But exposure to fire from below the roof must also be considered, especially as we look to renewables for our energy supply. These installations may potentially involve penetrating the roof structure, which could potentially create a pathway for the spread of fire. This is just one of the issues we explore in our whitepaper which you can download here: https://lnkd.in/gkxMdH7V

Generating electricity with Solar PV isn't just a smart decision for many businesses. It's smarter than you even thought. Whatever you generate independently of the grid will save you money, making solar PV an investment that pays back all year round. And when a system can last 20-25 years and pay back in fewer than 3.5, solar PV can generate more than just electricity. According to energy research company Wood Mackenzie, the Asia Pacific (APAC) region is projected to allocate US$3.3 trillion in power generation over the next decade. Approximately 25% of this total is anticipated to be directed to solar PV, with 15% earmarked explicitly for distributed solar. Over the next five years, new capacity deployment is predicted to reach nearly 2TW (1,840GW), driven by ever-growing power demands. 🌐 ⚡APsystems seeks global opportunities actively and has focused on "microinverters", empowering the high-quality advancement of distributed PV through leading attributes in safety, efficiency, and intelligence.
