Interesting infographic, we know firearms and vehicles are purchased or stolen and sent abroad. They will be used by criminal or terror elements. I would like to see reverse side of the investigation as it pertains to auditing dealers and persons, driving towards indictments. Imagine how many Terminator style weapons caches exist within our border.

Biden takes a shot at the firearm industry It wouldn’t be the Biden administration without another assault on American firearms manufacturers. This administration has attacked American gun companies with layers of bureaucratic red tape while cutting into their profits by limiting firearm and ammunition sales to civilians in other countries. But how does this executive regulation affect you? If implemented, these restrictions and compliance costs are estimated to result in about a 7% reduction—or $40 million—of the current $600 million in U.S. firearm exports per year. This will greatly disrupt American firearm companies which could eventually reduce your access to firearms and ammunition. Your voice can make the difference in the stand against Biden’s red-tape and regulation. Source: Heritage Action for America

Firearms for Close Protection: Assault Rifles & Sub-Machine Guns Do assault rifles, carbines and sub-machine guns have a place in the commercial close protection and armed security industry? Well, that depends on the environment and the laws of the area that you’re operating in. Personally, I would say their application is very limited mainly due to the legal restrictions on ownership and use @ https://lnkd.in/d64NCitk #closeprotection #executiveprotection #bodyguard #police

In Canada 🇨🇦👮♀️😳 The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has lost 205 firearms since 2020, including more than 120 handguns and at least five fully automatic weapons like machine-guns. The data, which was obtained through an access to information request, also shows that nearly a dozen RCMP firearms have gone missing so far this year. In total, 122 handguns, 55 shotguns, 23 rifles, three submachine-guns and two machine-guns have been reported lost by RCMP detachments across the country since 2020. Canadians are largely prohibited from using or acquiring machine-guns and submachine-guns, which are fully automatic and capable of rapid fire. Nearly half of the guns were lost in 2021, when a staggering 99 RCMP firearms were reported missing, including three fully automatic weapons. There were also 25 lost firearms in 2020, 44 in 2022, 26 in 2023 and 11 in the first seven months of 2024.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. When the government bans common firearms or makes their purchase unnecessarily difficult for law-abiding citizens, that’s infringement. When exorbitant fees or taxes are levied against firearms and ammunition, that’s infringement. When firearms related businesses are overregulated and heavily taxed, that’s infringement. When law-abiding citizens are severely restricted from having a firearm for personal protection when out in public, that’s infringement. The right to self-defense is a basic human right. Gun ownership is an integral part of that right. #2ndamendment #gunrights #firearms

Linking guns to crimes is a critical step in solving investigations. #YourFDLE Firearms Forensic Analysts are trained to examine bullets, cartridge cases, and other ammunition components to pinpoint firearms used to commit a crime. Using systems like the National Integrated Ballistics Identification Network (NIBIN), analysts can search for similarities between firearms and ammunition components. #ForensicSciences

What’s next for #FDLEForensics #Firearms? Virtual comparison microscopy! Coming soon! We hope to validate the tool as an adjunct to light microscopy, eventually examine likeness or grouping algorithms, and within a few years follow the field as it progresses towards statistical weights. Validation and implementation in forensics can be slow, but methodical and never ending adoption of new tech is imperative. 🔥💪🔫🎯🔬💻👩🏻🔬

NEW REPORT: "Under the Gun: Firearms Trafficking in Latin America and the Caribbean" Arms trafficking goes well beyond a law enforcement challenge; the proliferation of semi- and fully automatic rifles, grenade launchers, and various high-caliber weapons are increasingly used by TCOs to hold at risk the very sovereignty of LAC governments. Leveraging new data sources, this report examines the prevalence and patterns of arms trafficking within and between the United States, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, and provides recommendations for all subregions to pursue. Do we need to address mental health diagnosis and treatment? Yes! Do we need to enforce laws against actual violent criminals? Yes! Do we need to punish honest people with more restrictions, more barriers (that disproportionately affect low income and minority/ inner city citizens), more unnecessary laws that do not at all in any way shape or form deter crime? No. Do we need to put more limits on our individual freedoms? No. Every time someone proposes a law, ask yourself what if this restricts my freedom of speech, association, religion, voting, due process (and numerous other Constitutional rights protected by limiting government)- and apply that same standard, reasoning, logic to laws against firearms. Because they are all part and parcel with the Constitution and other amendments (including those that freed slaves and gave women the right to vote)!
⚠️WARNING⚠️ As soon as today, Senator Schumer is planning to bring up S. 1909, a “bump stock ban” that is truly a BACKDOOR SEMIAUTOMATIC WEAPONS BAN. This fake “bump stock ban” actually bans any semiautomatic gun with a part that “materially increases the rate of fire.”😡 You’ll be forced to register many of your semiautos under the archaic National Firearms Act of 1934 to keep them. Modifying unregistered semiautos will become illegal.🤯 ☎️If you want to help us protect the Second Amendment in Washington, call your senators ASAP & tell them to object at (202) 224-3121. #congress #bumpstock #gunrights #gunowners #secondamendment #shallnotbeinfringed #comeandtakeit #biden #atf #defundtheatf
