It's #TipOfTheWeek time. 🎟️ As you promote fundraising events like galas, concerts, or sporting fundraisers, it's crucial to avoid advertising ticket purchases as tax-deductible "donations." Here's why: Under IRS rules, amounts paid for admission to events aren't considered charitable contributions if the donor receives something of value in return. This includes Entry to the event itself, food, entertainment, and other benefits received. Having seen through various organizations how critical that funding is I would encourage you to participate. Company campaigns are one of the easiest ways to remember your annual giving and support your local non profits. Always remember, you can designate an organization to recieve your pledge and if your Company doesnt have a program to match at least part of your donation encourage them to start one.
