A Balanced Future Written By Kendesi Mohammed As we look ahead, the key lies in balance. By combining the efficiency of technology with the compassion of human care, we can create a healthcare system that is not only innovative but also equitable and sustainable. This vision hinges on our collective ability to embrace progress while honoring the values that make healthcare a profoundly human endeavor. The future is bright, but it’s up to us to shape it thoughtfully. Let’s ensure that technology serves humanity, not the other way around, and build a healthcare system that prioritizes both innovation and the well-being of those it serves. #kendesi #guyana

Great chance to delve into something particularly relevant and timely in our societies, with ageing population and in dire need of radical innovation, namely supporting sustainability transitions through co-creation in health and social services. #socialinnovation #cocreation #sustianabilitytransition
There is still time to register for the upcoming webinar with the amazing Johanna Leväsluoto, on "Transition through co-creation in social and healthcare services". Drawing on insights from the social and healthcare system in Finland, Johanna will discuss how the renewal of social and healthcare can be achieved through co-creating services. This entails a more systemic view of promoting change and a clear path (or a mission) towards these goals. Together with Anne-Laure Mention, Kateryna Kryzhanivska, Dr. Tzameret H. Rubin and Yat Ming Ooi at the ISPIM - International Society for Professional Innovation Management Special Interest Group Frontiers of Impact, we are delighted to host Johanna’s webinar, the first in a series focused on “Creating Impact with Civil Society”. I learnt a lot from this dialogue moderated by Dr Amit N. Thakker As a policy student, what Dr Angela Nyambura Gichaga , AoEC shared provided understanding and guidance on how to analyze and approach Africa’s financing of healthcare. She pointed out the four F’s, which are key to addressing this issue. These include: • a fragmentation of funding for health services • a narrowed focus of health • a limited fiscal space for the health sector, and • a framing of health in the context of the political economy Along with these points, she shared the opportunities for action in our quest to achieve Universal Health Coverage as a continent. The rest of the discussions in this forum also gave me a lot to think about, as a future policy maker. Looking forward to more of these conversations Africa Health Business
