This week, for #SafetyFriday, we're focusing on the importance of forklift safety. Forklifts are often used around construction sites and warehouses. They help save time and money by allowing you to move heavy loads quickly and efficiently. They also help reduce the risk of accidents on the worksite by decreasing the amount of manual handling required. However, when not operated correctly, forklifts can pose a danger to workers, property, and the public. Here are some standard safety rules that should be used when operating forklifts: 🚨 Always wear your safety vest and hard hat 🚨 If equipped, always wear your seat belt 🚨 When operating a forklift on an incline, ensure that the load is on the uphill side of the incline 🚨 When driving with a load, make sure that you are driving forward when going up an incline and backward when going down 🚨 Make sure that the forks are kept four to six inches off the ground when driving the forklift 🚨 When carrying a high load that blocks your line of sight, drive the forklift in reverse and turn your head so you can see 🚨 Make sure no one walks underneath a raised load and make eye contact with the people around you 🚨 Never go around a blind corner without checking first, and use the horn when necessary to notify others that you are present 🚨 When you park a forklift or leave it unattended, make sure that the forks are flat on the ground, the controls are set to neutral, the parking brake is on, and the keys have been removed from the ignition Forklifts are essential and valuable pieces of machinery, and by following these guidelines, we can ensure that they are used correctly and safely. #SafetyFirst #ForkliftSafety #WorksiteSafety #ConstructionSiteSaftey #ConstructionSafety #Construction #Telecommunications #FullCircleFamily
