True leadership in sales is about more than just hitting targets, it is about inspiring your team to exceed their own expectations. Today, I reflect on how creating a culture of support and continuous learning can transform good sales teams into great ones. How do you balance making people feel safe (creating an environment of trust, support, and vulnerability), with a results based role where people who underperform directly lose money each week for the company? You create a supportive culture, but give CLEAR instructions and expectations so that everyone knows what the ticket is that they have to bring to keep their seat on the bus. You can make an awesome bus, but you can never let people ride that bus without a ticket #sales #leadership

Had a moment of clarity last week that I wanted to share. I was thinking about what makes some sales teams thrive while others struggle, even when they have similar resources and talent. I've noticed something interesting: the best-performing teams aren't always the ones with the most impressive resumes or the fanciest sales tools. They're the ones where people feel genuinely supported in their growth. This reminded me that true sales leadership is more than just about driving numbers - we need to understand each person's unique challenges and help them overcome them. When we get that right, the numbers follow naturally. What's been your experience with building high-performing teams? What approaches have worked for you? #leadership #growth #teamdevelopment

I've often wondered why some companies treat their sales teams poorly, especially when these very teams are out in the field working hard to bring in business. It’s surprising to see how companies that are not yet well-established push their salespeople to the brink, without providing the necessary tools and support. Let’s not forget: salespeople are a company’s greatest asset. They’re the ones facing daily rejection, navigating tough conversations, and overcoming countless challenges to close deals. Without their efforts, the company’s growth would stall. If you're a leader, remember this—support your sales team, and watch your business thrive! #Sales #Leadership #BusinessDevelopment #SalesSupport #EmpowerYourTeam

Are you struggling with a low-performing team? I was too. When I stepped in, I promised a transformation. I took a long, hard look at the gaps in leadership and implemented these three strategies to turn things around: 1. Training: We equipped our salespeople with effective scripts, emails, texts, and voicemails. Basically everything they needed to be successful. 2. Accountability: We tracked effort and performance very closely to ensure everyone stayed on target. 3. Leadership: We worked closely with our leaders to create an uplifting environment of continuous growth and success. By focusing on these three areas, we've seen huge improvements in our team and our results. If your team is facing similar challenges, be honest with yourself about what’s lacking and don’t be afraid to implement new strategies to drive success. #leadership #leadershiptips #sales

🎯 Are Q1 targets holding us back? It's time to rethink our approach to sales goals. Conventional wisdom says: Set targets early in January to drive performance. But what if we flipped the script? Instead of rushing to set targets, what if we encouraged our sales teams to: • Engage deeply with customers in Q1 • Build joint ambitions for 2025 • Start transacting work and exploring horizontal growth POCs The result? We might see: ✅ Higher growth rates ✅ Faster deal cycles ✅ A stronger foundation for long-term success By focusing on potential rather than predetermined targets, we liberate our teams to explore what's truly possible. Sales leaders: Consider giving your team the space to build their pipeline organically in Q1. You might be surprised by the results. What do you think? Is it time to shake up how we set sales targets? Share your thoughts below! 👇 #SalesStrategy #Leadership #BusinessGrowth #Innovation

In sales, it’s easy to get caught up in the chase for numbers. But true sales leadership is about more than just hitting targets—it’s about inspiring and empowering your team to achieve their best. 💡 Lead by Example: Your team looks up to you. Demonstrate the behaviors and attitudes you want to see in them. 💡 Foster a Growth Mindset: Encourage continuous learning and improvement. Celebrate the wins, but also take the time to learn from the losses. 💡 Build Relationships: Sales isn’t just about transactions; it’s about relationships. Build trust within your team and with your clients. 💡 Focus on Development: Invest in your team’s growth. When they succeed, you succeed. Great sales leaders don’t just create great results—they create great teams. #SalesLeadership #Leadership #SalesSuccess #Teamwork

Sorry to keep you waiting. Second part of a two-part series. Here are the other 4 barriers to execution success. Execution really requires you to focus on all 7 barriers by putting systems and processes in place to help you quickly understand when and how to stay on track. Too often 1-3 of these barriers really torpedo execution because you don't have a system to assist you, and too much time passes before you realize it. Really cohesive teams do these pretty well and its why their success rate is some much stronger than your average team. #leadership #growth #sales #teamwork
