Yes, there are still panels out there like this. No, it’s not safe. Neglecting to update or maintain your fire panel can be a costly mistake. Outdated systems are more prone to malfunctions, leading to false alarms that disrupt business operations or worse, failure to activate in a real emergency. When a fire alarm system fails, the cost of repairs and damages can soar into the tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, including structural damage, ruined assets, and business downtime. Additionally, some insurance providers may not cover fire damage if it’s discovered that your fire panel was outdated or improperly maintained. Upgrading to a modern fire panel is a preventative measure that can save you significant amounts of money—and stress—over time. Ensure your fire panel is up to date—visit our website to explore the cost-effective benefits of upgrading your fire safety systems. #FireSafetyFirst #BuildingSafety #FireSafetyCompliance #ResidentialSafety #PropertyManager #SafetyStandards #FireProtection #SafeBuildings #BusinessOwners #SafetyMatters #FirePanelUpgrades #CostEffectiveSolutions #FireAlarmSystems #UpgradeToSafety #FireSafetyTech #SmartSafetyUpgrades #AffordableSafety #FireSystemUpgrade #SafetyOnABudget #UpgradeYourSafety

The Burglar Step (and What It Teaches Us About Slips, Trips, and Falls) Ever heard of a burglar step? 🧐 A burglar step is a stair where the height of the riser or the width of the tread is different from the other steps. These steps were believed to be designed to trip up intruders—an old-school alarm system! 🚨 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: When it comes to stairs, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆. If all your stairs are uniform in dimension, you’re on the right track to safety. But even a slight variation in height or width can cause someone to trip up... or worse, fall. 🔍 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: 1️⃣ Stand at the top of the stairs and crouch down. 2️⃣ Look at the stair nosings (edges) and check if they merge into one line. 3️⃣ If they do, your stairs are safe! If not, you might have a problem. If your stairs aren’t consistent, send me a DM, and let’s talk about how you can fix them. Don’t take chances with stair safety—one misstep can lead to serious accidents.
