My MBA journey - Reflecting on Failures and Growth: 📍 During my first year of MBA, I suffered heavily because of academic intensity, trying to adjust to the fast pace of the program and transitioning into a different lifestyle altogether 📍 No matter how much I tried to stay positive, I ended up comparing myself to others and being nervous and anxious 📍 There were days when I did not feel like doing anything at all which only made me feel worse 📍 During my summer internship, I poured my heart and soul into the project, but unfortunately it did not translate into a PPO 📍 I participated in several corporate case competitions, investing countless hours preparing and strategising. Despite my best efforts, I didn’t always clinch the top spot Failure was a constant companion on this journey but it was also my greatest teacher. It allowed me to seek support, develop coping mechanisms, revisit my strategies of doing things and developing within me a willingness to learn and improve. As I step into the professional world, I carry these lessons with me, knowing that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Remember, behind every smiling face you see on social media, there is a person facing their own challenges. Let this be a gentle nudge to practise kindness towards yourself and others. We all stumble and learn from our mistakes so let’s support each other in our journeys of continuous self improvement! ✨ #XIMB #Convocation #MBA

Are you confused about which business schools to apply to for MBA? Selecting the right business school is a tricky process! Often the schools are quite close in rankings, equally good with placement records, suitablity of location, alumni network and various other factors. At such times, delving deeper into the kind of experiences and learning opportunities each school offers, and how that is best suited for your goals and aspirations, can help. All of these can also be taken into consideration:- •Curriculum and course structure 📚 •Timing and duration of internships👨🏻💻 •Projects and experiential learning •Beyond the classroom experiences •Specific roles in each function offered during campus placements As for class profiles, they definitely give an insight into the credentials of the batch, thus can provide a good benchmark. But, even if you don’t fit into all the averages, your essays and goals are unique to you and thus, look to share your story in the best way possible. Classifying the target schools into safety, realistic & reach can also help. 🗒️ Reach out if you’re looking for guidance with school selection 😇 #business #learning #management #opportunities #research #help #schools #mba #choices

Why get an MBA when you could be focussed on gaining work experience instead? 🪱 Can of worms: *opened* I completely understand. Before starting my MBA at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business I wondered about this myself. However, I had a hunch there there would be a lot of value in attending business school. That hunch got me to apply, and I'm incredibly glad that I did. Here are just a few unexpected golden nuggets I've discovered that I didn’t realize prior to starting: 📝 There are lot of opportunities to gain meaningful resume-building and skill enhancing experiences even while you are in school. Internships, part-time work, practicum courses, consulting projects, etc. 🔭 Most people don't currently see every opportunity that's available to them. There are SO many more options than you realize, and an MBA gives you exposure and connections that help open you mind to what else is possible. 📊 A more wholistic view of business and leadership benefits you, immediately and in the long run. Exposure to an equivalent variety of experienced professionals and high-quality education isn't easy to come by. 🏌️♂️ The act itself of pursuing higher education and further credentialing yourself will embolden you to take bigger swings, and thus realize bigger wins. 👨👩👧👦 At some point you'll probably look around and think, "Wow, I'm sitting in this room with some pretty impressive people" and you'll realize that you're part of something great. That association/network is a powerful and humbling thing. 🫵 An MBA might not be the right answer for everyone– but maybe it is for you. Most people don't know enough about the realities and possible outcomes of an MBA and could stand to benefit from learning more. That being said, if you are interested in attending Georgia Institute of Technology or in pursuing an MBA in general and have questions, feel free to reach out. I'm an MBA Ambassador and a Student Admissions Interviewer, and I'm happy to chat. #MBA #Scheller #GeorgiaTech #BusinessSchool #MBAAmbassador
