I’ve come into roles where I needed to re-align, shift strategies, or even rebuild entirely from what was handed over. It’s about seeing the potential, reshaping what’s been left, and turning it into an opportunity for success. One of my guiding principles comes from a quote by Steve Jobs… "Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people." The foundations we inherit - whether sturdy or shaky - are stepping stones. What we do next, how we mobilize teams and resources, is what determines the positive outcome for the business. In my own experience, the key has been focusing on forward momentum. It’s not about undoing the past, but rather, evolving from it. We’ve got to look at what’s working, improve where needed, and create a clear vision for where we’re headed. And when you show the team that every challenge is an opportunity, that’s when the real turnaround begins. As I sat with my daughters this week, vision boards were across our dining room table. Couple of years ago, I was creating my first vision board as an ambitious financial analyst, dreaming of leading a company. Today, I'm teaching my girls the same practice that helped shape my journey. Vision boards aren't just arts and crafts but a proof to the power of intentional dreaming. I still remember pasting images of skyscrapers and corporate offices onto my early boards. Those images eventually transformed into reality, but the most meaningful part wasn't just achieving the goals but it was the clarity and purpose they provided along the way. As a leader in financial services, I've learned that success isn't just about the destination but it's about maintaining clarity of purpose through the journey.
