Imported oil? No thanks! It's costly to our environment and communities. Kern County's strict safety and environmental standards guarantee responsible extraction. Why settle for foreign oil when we can support our backyard? #SupportLocalStandards #FuelingtheFuture

Thanks to Kern Citizens for Energy for another great post! Not supporting local oil is also costly to jobs, critical services, and livelihoods. There’s no excuse for claims by any California Company that they want to “partner-with” and appease state governments and climate activist NGOs, especially when such claims are made by California Oil and Gas Operators- It smacks of cowardice to support any organization that proposes to destroy them. The only effective way to “lead” the so-called energy transition is to stop it and fight to protect reliable energy from Oil and Gas. The energy transition threatens the energy that makes our quality of life possible, and may therefore be the most potent threat humanity has ever faced. Its past time to stop the net-zero foolishness! When will we get California business and industry back on track? #factsmatter #truthmatters #climatecrisis #climatechange #oilandgas #oil #myjobdependsonag #myjobdependsonoil #biden #newsom #greennewdeal #reliablepower #energytransition #fossilfuel #nuclearenergy #hydroelectric #catastrophizing #energy #climatealarmism #ipcc #spe #iadc #aapg #api #NoToNetZero #greennewdeal #trudeau #cop28 #physicsnotfeelings #rescuecalifornia

Terminology can be confusing: What is wastewater? What exactly is sewage? What means "blackwater"? What means "greywater"? What about galley water? And sewage sludge? There are a multitude of definitions of these terms, which sometimes differ more, sometimes less. These definitions are given by the International Maritime Organization the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or classification societies. Not only does the proposed rule establish final MCLs and MCLGs, but also will require public water monitoring, public reporting, and reduction requirements. Brace yourselves for reopeners too. #pfas #environmentallaw
#ICYMI: On April 10, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) announced the final National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) to establish legally-enforceable Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) for certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water. The final regulation will have significant impacts on the regulated community and the monitoring/reporting of public water systems. On August 16, Environment and Climate Change Canada announced that 2253457 Ontario Inc., a fuel-supply company based in Mississauga, Ontario, has been fined $100,000 for unlawfully depositing diesel fuel into Etobicoke Creek, a fish-bearing body of water. This fine follows a guilty plea at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on August 15, 2024. Key Points: - Offence Date: The incident occurred between February 7 and March 5, 2019. - Inspection Findings: Diesel fuel was found entering Etobicoke Creek due to poor maintenance of an on-site oil-water separator, leading to environmental contamination. - Penalty: The fine will be directed to the Government of Canada’s Environmental Damages Fund. - Registry: The company’s name will be added to the Environmental Offenders Registry. This case underscores the importance of strict adherence to environmental laws and the serious consequences of failing to protect Canada’s natural resources.
