The younger generation usually feels more drained and is often more stressed than our parents or grandparents. Ever wonder why?
Of course, our lifestyles and environments have seen a drastic shift in comparison to that of our previous generations. But it is also related to the nutritional gaps and the idea of right nutrition in today’s world.
We consume more processed foods and there is an overall decline in home-cooked meals which affects the intake, absorption and utilisation of nutrients by our bodies. This is where MULTIVITAMIN supplements come in.
This month on The Wellbeing Edit, we bring you a deep dive into the science behind Multivitamins.
Join Dr Suchin Bajaj (MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine) to learn more about multivitamin formulations, explaining their crucial role in boosting energy, immunity, cognitive function, and overall well-being. Whether you're busy, stressed, have dietary limitations, or just looking to support your health, this video is your go-to guide for making informed choices about multivitamins and Omega-3s in 2024.

Do you ever think about the opportunity cost of your meal?
I don't mean the financial cost, but the opportunity that every meal presents to provide signals to your body and its inner workings. I've often said food is the biggest source of signals to your physiology and too often this importance is not emphasised enough.
One of my overarching principles when devising personalised nutritional strategies for my patients is this:
"Focus more on what you need more of, rather than on what you have to restrict"
There is only so much time one can spend eating in a day, so if we spend more time (and stomach space) filling up on more of the good stuff, there just isn't enough opportunity to keep having as much of the foods you would be thinking of restricting.
Another key aspect of nutrition is that it needs to be personalised. Everyone's physiology responds differently to different variables in our food. Tracking the important biomarkers of optimal health is how we monitor and adjust as we progress. This is personalised precision medicine and is fundamental to our approach at Agami Health.
Check out my latest article which gives a sneak peak into my framework for building someone's nutritional strategy for health and longevity.

There is a valuable insight from Harvard School of Public Health. It highlights the importance of individual differences in #dieting outcomes and emphasizes the significance of food quality alongside calorie and macronutrient considerations for sustainable #weightmanagement.
The idea that one diet doesn't fit all stems from the understanding that genetic factors, lifestyle choices, and even microbiome composition can significantly influence how individuals respond to different dietary approaches. This variability means that while certain diets may work well for some people, they may not be as effective for others.

Take a look at our recent article: Breaking down The OMNIVEG STUDY: Health outcomes of shifting from a traditional to a vegan Mediterranean diet in healthy men - a controlled crossover trial.
This study examines the effects of transitioning from a traditional Mediterranean diet to a vegan Mediterranean diet on cardiorespiratory fitness and lipid profiles in healthy, physically active men. The research aimed to assess the impact of replacing animal-based foods with plant-based alternatives in the Mediterranean diet, focusing on key health markers like lipid profiles and cardiorespiratory fitness.

We are interested in encouraging honest discussions about health and nutrition.
We also recognize that the current landscape is filled with conflicting information, making it increasingly difficult to identify what constitutes a healthy diet, a healthy meal, which ingredients you should or should not eat (or which ones should be bought organic vs. non), etc.
The ongoing conversation about seed oils / PUFAs is a prime example. As new research emerges and public opinions shift, it’s essential to approach these discussions thoughtfully.
Here are some points we want to share:
Nutrition science continually evolves, and our perceptions of what is harmful versus beneficial can shift with new evidence and research. It’s important to look at these topics with an open mind.
We stress the need to ground our discussions in credible research. Amid many opinions, let’s focus on the science behind health.
We urge everyone to think critically about health topics. Question sources, seek diverse viewpoints, and trust your judgment to make informed choices.
As we have these conversations, let’s foster a culture of inquiry and respect for different opinions.
We'd like to hear how you navigate these discussions and the insights you've gained in your health journey.
How do you tackle the complexities of health information being shared everywhere?
