The psychological impact of drone warfare is one of the reasons why it has been so effective.

Combining multiple types of unmanned systems and the data they collect can greatly increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. Carl Shipley, the Coast Guard's remotely operated vehicle (ROV) program manager, is pushing into this new capability space by fusing short range UAS (SR-UAS) orthomosiac imagery with side scan sonar from an ROV to create a near real time image of what is happening above and below the surface. Maritime security has always been a concern, although terrorist attacks on vessels are low compared with other forms of terrorist attacks the outcome and devastation to the environment and infrastructure can be far worse. Embedding maritime security into PREVENT with my students is something I always teach. South Essex College of Further and Higher Education

Another missile strike from the Houthis on the Red Sea. One thing that has evolved and is adopted by the Houthis is the use of Unmanned Watercraft Vehicle (UWV) know as water drones to attack ships. This technology evolved through the Russian-Ukraine war. Now ships can be attacked using water drones as torpedoes or missiles. This risk is covered under the War Risk coverage, unless specifically excluded by endorsement. It can also be excluded using the RUB Clause and the Red Sea Transit Exclusion. A standalone War Risk policy can also be purchased in the London market.

This is definitely affecting the shipments in that region. Whoever sails over that region, probably Arabian Sea or Gulf of Aden will certainly get the hit, unless those vessels carry the Russian or China's flag. So, what are the implication for the maritime security over this region? Yes, some liners has taken alternative routes which is very much further and at higher costs. As the result of this, freight cost, FSC, SSC will certainly increase as well. So does the price of the goods (import/export). This is of course a short term plan. How about getting rid of those terrorist sea attacks? It will definitely going to provoke another war in this region.
