Day 55 of Building a design studio in 100 days. Today was busy! I took a much needed break yesterday, but as I imagined a few things did pile up that I needed to take care of today. And I know there's some false sense of urgency attached because of the 100 day deadline but, it is what it is :') → Got a go-ahead from the client for the brand mood board! Kicked of the work with Ideation & brainstorming. → Also I'm helping a friend out with some designs, he had a presentation to prepare for, so worked on that too a little bit. → Rest of the day was extinguishing fires all around 🥴 Issues & hiccups have started happening with almost everything going on for building the studio. - Problem with the website work, - Further delay in content for the studio. - & an internal team availability issue, leading to me having to put extra work over everything else going on. So my job was to coordinate with all the teams/people working and getting everything sorted, or atleast to a manageable point. & It's a task. ooff. It feels hard to believe that I've been doing this for 97 days 😳 For these next couple of days, I just want to do a wind down to end the challenge on a good note! 🗓 ✅ Day 97/100; Building a design studio publicly: Today, I finally started curating everything & putting together/updating the social profiles (both my personal one & oddeasy studio's) → Had a meeting with the content team going over the descriptions, bios, etc. → & sat down to create and finalize cover images & display pictures and any other necessary graphics. Now, ofcourse, all the communication is based on assumptions & desk research So it's definitely going to change & evolve over time as I get more real-time insights. But this definitely makes everything feel a bit more legit! Still not done though, I need to update a few more things. Fun, tiring & full of work. Day 65/100; Building a design studio publicly Tomorrow is an important day for the studio, in terms of both the client projects going on. We are presenting the final brand identity for the first project & Creative direction for the second. & So today was mostly spent on putting everything together & tying up loose ends. Also, I had a few tiny things to take care of, made a quick trip to the bank & stationery store, Sorted stuff out, got the supplies I needed, & That was mostly it for today. - Apart from that, I haven't slept well for the last few days, so I was tired & sleepy the whole day :p I've noticed once the sleep cycle is disrupted, it's tricky to pull it back together. Ok, so somehow its day 75 🤯 another 25 days have passed In a snap & we're done with 3/4th of the challenge already. Unreal. Like all other milestone days, I spent most of today reflecting, looking back at what's done & planning for the coming days. I've done so much stuff. I cant even imagine. & Yes there are days when i don't get much done but when I pause and take a step back, all I realise is how the sum of parts is greater than the whole. - Right now, I'm not even sure if the website and other things for the launch will be done by the 100th day But how I look at it, is that the studio is already built. And I'm already getting to work with my ICPs & thats what actually matters. Buckle up folks, time for some truthin’: fixating on colours just isn’t where your brand's soul lies. The more time you spend on it, the more stuck in the mud you’ll get. When we craft a brand, we're not sifting through paint swatches like it's some kind of home reno project. We're digging deep into the guts of your story. Why? Because that's where your truth sits. I'm sympathetic to this. You know colours, you can articulate colours. You want to bring something to the table when it comes to your brand.
