Here's my latest sculpt. I've done this character during the Milan Games Week as Rainbow Academy - Digital Entertainment Academy per Animazione e Vfx guest. Hello everyone, today I am pleased to showcase "Estacion Cinzano," a collaborative project with my former colleagues from the academy for a two-week contest organized by Rainbow Academy. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to Andrea Fanelli, Mattia Zangrilli, and Giulia Richiardi, who proved to be excellent collaborators. I had the pleasure of leading our small team, and through effective task organization, we managed to emerge victorious. In our group, my role involved overseeing the proper execution of tasks, recreating the entire block of houses, texturing every object in the scene, conducting set dressing with assets, lighting, and post-processing in Unreal Engine 5. Additionally, I handled all camera movements and animations. During the set dressing phase, I aimed to convey a narrative to the viewer, evoking emotions through specific camera movements and Light functions that accentuated the sense of height and movement. I put significant effort into lighting and the physical simulations of certain assets, bringing life and weight to the engines, curtains, and rotating turbines. In Substance Painter, I created smart materials that could adapt to various surfaces, enhancing the sculpted details from Zbrush. Recreating Alejandro Burdisio's concept was challenging, as the scene had to be set differently due to the suspended house. The most challenging part was recreating the color and shape of the clouds, ensuring they were consistent with the overall lighting. Over time, achieving an excellent result within two weeks was incredibly satisfying. #realtime #gameasset #unrealengine5 #levelart

This is the first time I've worked on a cinematic project on Unreal Engine 5. I plan to do projects where the graphics are of even higher quality, but I wanted to try some workflows on my first try also the scanning data provided by Quixel in UE5 contributes greatly to the process of achieving realism in the scene. In addition, in this project, I saw more clearly how procedural modeling is a life saver in large-scale works. Models were created with Houdini and Autodesk Maya. Scanned models from Quixel.
