4 years of my masterpiece! 💖 Not referring to a bestseller when I say it is "my masterpiece". Back in 2020, I wrote a collection of powerful quotes to encourage hope during the pandemic. Cut short to today, I believe anything can be a masterpiece if there is an: ✨Initiative ✨Intention ✨Intensity More than giving me the title of a bestseller, it gave me the title of: 💪First-time Author. 💪Taught me how to publish a book. 💪Inspired me to start KARNI Publishing 💪Gave me an identity. As the dedication page of my book says; "Dedicated to everyone who is struggling hard during the tough times of their life", I believe ownership with the right intention is the biggest privilege in this world. Especially when you want to create an impact. Here is my favorite quote from the book (and always): "When no one will be there Let me then Receive your tears And those hands Which will be shaking And hug your loose skin." As a 20-year-old, I loved the description of my book. It ends with; "Do not believe in the fact that we are born to pay the price of our curses, rather believe that failure comes to those who are born to succeed in life." Books or Devices? I’ve always loved a good book—the feel of the pages, the smell of paper. Though I've never tried a Kindle, I just don't think it could replicate the same experience for me. How do you choose a good book? For me, it's usually an eye-catching cover, a familiar author, or an intriguing blurb on the back. But sometimes, I clearly miss the mark. Recently, I picked up a book from Tesco, only to realise it was probably aimed at my 18- and 20-year-old daughters rather than me. Still, I’m giving it a go—just because it's about American teenage first love doesn’t mean it won’t be enjoyable! That said, if I can't get into it after a few chapters, I won’t hesitate to move on—something I used to struggle with. My favourite place to find new books? It's this charming little book exchange inside an old bus shelter near my 18-year-old’s place. Every time I visit her, I bring along my old books and swap them for something “new.” It’s such a treasure trove of used books, and the fact that they smell a little damp and musty just adds to their authenticity!
