His talk, ‘Power and Progress: Our Thousand-Year Struggle over Technology and Prosperity’, was part of the Adam Smith Distinguished Speaker Series. Professor Acemoglu offered new perspectives on AI, addressing critical questions about its potential benefits, risks of increased inequality, and impact on emerging economies.
