The big question now is what will happen to all Emiratis who joined the program since its inception in 2021 when 2026 comes around. The announcement was to support the employment of 75,000 Emiratis in the next five years, ending in 2026. Many employers believe Emiratis are only supported for five years, so they may choose to remain in the same jobs without NAFIS incentives. I think there will be more discussions about the future of this initiative. Will it support Emiratis indefinitely as long as they work in the private sector, or will the situation be different?
