What will you tell the next generation when they ask you what you did to stop the genocide in Gaza?
Genocide is a crime against humanity meaning that it is a crime against you and I and everyone else.
It is our collective responsibility to try and stop it.
Are you shirking your responsibility or worse, aiding and abetting a genocide?

He finally broke his “silence” on the genocide. Alas, he just did like what we all do - condemning it on the social media platform. What’s thw use of his position if all he did was writing on its linkedin post and that also after over 45k people killed and displaced civilians bombed like nothing for several days now.
If I have the position that he has, the UN will be more vocal about the genocide, will take actions, as a world organisation and in collaboration with member countries to stop the genocide, make the perpetrators accountable and the complicits too and move motion to remove the veto right in the security council. There’ll be many more that UN could have done and mere condemnation on the face of tens of thousands of people death - that’s not even the least a secretary general of UN can do.
And why he called it conflict? It’s a butcher!!! Slaughter!! Plain genocide!! How can he call it conflict when armless people, homeless, defenceless, not even have any means to sustain themselves and families let alone to take any thinkable measure of offend (it’s conflict when forces from both sides collide, is it not?). Why António Guterres, why conflict? To make what Israel do less evil? israel told them to leave their homes and everythi g they had and move to where they finally met their ends, bombed by Israel, so where’s the conflict? They had acted obediently and left; just as Israel ordered them!!
Why called it conflict when he is well aware Hamas had offered to exchange all hostages but Israel refused that. Why called it conflict when his own people, the people from UN entities have shared with the world how Israel is violating every single international law and human rights principles. How can he called it conflict when he knew there has been illegal occupation for so long and all the violations Israel is doing on the Palestinians over Palestinia land? As the secretary general of UN he ought to have known clearly the boundary of sovereignty and yet, throughout his term as the secretary general, he ignored the blantant violation by Israel that transformed palestinian territories to the largest open air prison or rather concentration camp!!!
Since the 7th October last year, that word condemn has become my least favourite. #piersmorgan’s chasing people to say so about hamas to lessen the evil nature of Israeli zionists actions. And now António Guterres used that word about the genocide. What’s the point of condemning it when it stays as an empty word? When it is not followed with actions that truly reflect the condemnation.
I condemn Israel’s actions which killed scores of innocent civilians who were only seeking shelter from this deadly conflict.

#um if Israel is exhibiting a culture of impunity when it comes to human rights violations against Palestine...
...where there is a lack of accountability and consequences for abuses, representing a breakdown in the rule of law and undermines fundamental human rights protections.
Some key implications of such a culture within Israel could include:
- Security forces and military carrying out extrajudicial killings, torture, forced displacement of Palestinian civilians with no investigations or prosecutions
- Illegal settlement expansion, home demolitions, and other policies that discriminate against and marginalize the Palestinian population
- Denial of due process, fair trials, and access to justice for Palestinians affected by human rights violations
- Failure to investigate and punish perpetrators of violence, land grabs, and other crimes against Palestinians
- Lack of independent oversight, transparency, and avenues for Palestinians to seek redress
if no accountability then what?
if no rules then what?
I am literally confused....who is protecting human rights here?

How to end the crisis
Antonio call UN emergency meeting and do the following four things:
1) Get a general assembly vote on abolishing veto power in UN in which veto power can not be used since it is the topic in discussion
2) Issue arrest warrants of Natanyahu against war crimes since ICJ ruling is not followed by Israel
3) Combine UN forces and attack Israel military installations with 24 hours deadline if they didn’t agree on ceasefire
4) If ceasefire is achieved issue 24 hours notice to Hammas for releasing the hostages

Too little, too late; not to speak of the way in which the Secretary-General chose to be complicit in dealing with the utterly baseless allegations against a few employees of UNRWA and allowed them to be dismissed by the head of UNRWA without even a preliminary internal investigation or enquiry and assessment, or condemnation of the killings of UN staff on duty in the conflict zone or the media personnel. in total violation of every known norm of international humanitarian law. Do we still speak of the non-existent "moral compass", or "moral authority", let alone invoking the authority conferred on the Secretary-General by Article 99 of the United Nations Charter? A splendid display of the rules-based global or international order!!!

I fully support the statement made by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
The ongoing violence and destruction in Gaza are causing untold suffering to innocent civilians who find themselves caught in the crossfire with no safe haven. The continuation of this conflict exacerbates the humanitarian crisis and amplifies the suffering.
We cannot stand by in the face of such atrocities. The international community must unite to end this violence, resolve the conflict, and ensure peace and security for all. Now, more than ever, we are called to uphold the principles of humanity and justice, and to work towards a lasting solution that protects and respects civilian lives.
Let us raise our voices for peace and justice, and collectively strive to put an end to this horror.

António Guterres, You can stop this horror by promoting to launch an economy in Israel and Palestine which' development keeps the environment in perfect shape. That economy is generated by replacing the macro-economic practise of maintaining growth in the development of the economy of Israel and Palestine with maintaining the integrity of Nature in that development.
All it takes to launch this economy in Israel and Palestine is to be honest about the area Palestinians need to establish a state and be good neighbours. An area as large as the land Israel covers for a Palestinian state takes away any obstacle for a future in which Jews and Arabs live in peace based on respect for immanent values. Both Palestinians and Israeli will be admired for their wisdom of having put that economy into operation. The Jews will be respected for their force to have been honest about the optimum area for Palestine. Eventually the Jews will be loved because they accepted the lead in the development of an economy that maintains the integrity of Nature, a prerequisite to ensure their own integrity.
The Jewish people have a function in the world; to maintain the integrity of Nature.

Israel's strategy in its genocidal campaign against Gaza has included: the deliberate killing of innocent civilians, subjecting survivors to conditions that force starvation, and targeting hospitals to expedite the death of injured survivors. It indeed fulfills the definition of an effective genocidal strategy, the question is, is it normal that everyone is just watching?
