India is evolving and so is the way we celebrate Diwali. Looking back, in childhood Diwali as a child was all about fireworks shows, excitement, and planning our cracker list with friends' weeks in advance. Over the years, the way we celebrate Diwali has undergone a shift. With conversations around air quality, environmental health, and community well-being gaining momentum across the countries, there’s a collective to approach festivals like Diwali with a bit more thoughtfulness. Firecrackers, once central to the festivities, are now reconsidered for their impact on air quality, noise levels, and public health. To me, Diwali isn't quite the same as it used to be, but it’s evolving in ways that resonate far more deeply. Its great to see families are finding meaningful, sustainable ways to celebrate—opting for biodegradable diyas, organic colors for rangolis, and even joining in community clean-ups. Many of us also now lean toward supporting local artisans, choosing handmade decor that not only honors our traditions but celebrates India’s rich heritage. But as an individual and as a society, there's still a long way to bridge that gap between what we seek for ourselves and what is needed for the community as a whole. The shift isn’t about giving up what we love; it’s about celebrating in ways that can enrich our lives, including our future generations. #Diwali #Tradition #Ecofriendly #Handmade #Tradition

As we embark on the festive journey of Diwali, the festival of lights, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this joyous occasion. Diwali is more than just a celebration of light over darkness; it's a testament to the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity. It reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there's always hope for a brighter tomorrow. In our professional lives, we often face challenges that seem insurmountable. But Diwali teaches us to draw upon our inner strength, resilience, and determination to overcome them. Just as the diyas (earthen lamps) light up the darkness, our collective efforts and perseverance can illuminate the path to success. As we celebrate Diwali, let's rekindle our passion for innovation, collaboration, and growth. Let's foster a culture of empathy, inclusivity, and support, where everyone has the opportunity to shine. To my LinkedIn community, I wish you a Diwali that sparks new ideas, nurtures meaningful connections, and fills your heart with joy and gratitude. *Wishing you a Happy Diwali and a prosperous New Year!* #HappyDiwali #DiwaliWishes #FestivalOfLights #Hope #Innovation #Collaboration #Growth

The Festival of Lights: Happy Diwali 🪔 Diwali is the celebration of the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It symbolizes the victory of Lord Rama after a 14-year exile when he returned to Ayodhya. Lessons from Diwali: > Perseverance: Challenges can be won over and we can become stronger as Rama. > Courage: What is right should be asserted even when things are very tough, as taught during Diwali. > Self-reflection: Let us take up Diwali as a time to introspect ourselves, get rid of any negativity, and renew. > Gratitude: Be thankful for light in your life. Maybe it is family, friends, or personal achievements. > Teamwork: Rama's victory was possible only with the help of his loved ones and allies, thus the need for teamwork. > How can we apply these lessons in our professional lives? 1. Be resilient and determined to face challenges. 2. Stand up for your ideas and values. 3. Reflect on your strengths and weaknesses. 4. Thank your colleagues and mentors. 5. Cultivate collaborative relationships. Wishing you a Happy Diwali! 🪔 Wishing that this festivity season may light up your road to success and fill life with joy, prosperity, and knowledge. As we celebrate #Diwali, I can't help but see some striking similarities between my journey as a #consultant & this vibrant festival. Here’s my take: 1️⃣ #IlluminatingPaths 🪔: Diwali is all about lighting diyas to brighten the darkest corners. Similarly, as consultants, our job is to shed light on unseen #opportunities, illuminate strategic insights, and guide organizations towards a more enlightened and profitable path. 2️⃣ #CreatingNewBeginnings 🌱: Diwali marks the beginning of a new financial year for many businesses in India. For consultants, it’s about helping organizations embrace change, reimagine possibilities, and start afresh with renewed #vision and purpose. 3️⃣ #CelebratingTogetherness 🤝: Diwali is a time for families and communities to come together. Consulting, too, is about #collaboration — working hand-in-hand with clients to achieve common goals. Success is truly sweeter when it’s celebrated together! So, this Diwali, let’s not only celebrate with lights and joy but also reflect on how we can bring clarity, insight, and collaboration into everything we do. ✨Wishing everyone a prosperous and illuminating Diwali!✨

This Diwali, let’s brighten lives beyond our own. I was observing on streets, so many families leave their homes and live on street-side during this festive week to earn their living for next few months. As we prepare to celebrate the festival of lights, let’s take a moment to reflect on the lives of street vendors and artisans who play a crucial role in adding color to our festivities. They aren’t just selling products—they are weaving stories of hard work, resilience, and tradition into each item. Instead of passing by or bargaining unfairly, let’s choose to respect and support these individuals. Every purchase we make from them is not just a transaction; it’s a small act of kindness, an opportunity to uplift their spirits and their families. Here’s something simple, yet profound: if you can spare just 2 minutes for each purchase, ask them their name, how they are feeling, or whether they have had a meal. Offer them a bottle of water if you can. Trust me, this will have a significant ripple effect. It’s these small acts of empathy that can create a world of difference. I urge you to spread this thought across and let’s make our community the kindest it can be. You’ll be amazed by how beautiful our world becomes when we tap into our true power as humans—the power to delight others. Let’s light up their Diwali by being compassionate in our words and actions. p.s.: This is a personal view. video credit: HP ad.

The True Essence of Diwali: Everyone knows it, but everyone overlooks this! It's Diwali on the calendars and everyone is so busy preparing for the festival. Preparing for Diwali, we often focus on the outer celebrations, lighting Diyas, decorating homes, and sharing sweets. And that's great. Seeing the beauty, everything shining bright, and leaving no space for darkness is pleasing. But it's also important to think that Diwali also has a deep real message, a lesson we sometimes overlook in the outer decorations during this festival. Diwali is a journey from darkness to light, a celebration of the inner transformation we all are fighting for in different ways in our lives. Just as a single Diya lights up the night, each of us has an inner spark capable of bringing clarity, warmth, and new purpose to our lives. 📅This Diwali, let's make it more meaningful by decoding its true essence: 👉Reflecting on your inner light: Pause and consider what truly drives you, what gives you purpose, and how you can bring that light forward. 👉Letting go of old thoughts: Just as we clean our homes, let’s clear out habits, fears, or regrets that no longer serve us, making space for fresh energy. 👉Reigniting hope and gratitude: Diwali is a reminder to celebrate how far we've come and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. In my work, I see every day how even a small spark of self-belief can create waves of positive change. So this Diwali, let’s commit to lighting up not only our surroundings but our own lives with purpose and transformations.🪔 💡This Diwali, don't remain stuck in your life, get out of it, ignite the Diya of transformation inside you!🪔 What deeper meaning do you take out of Diwali?🪔 Follow Sudhir Kove 💎 #diwali #diwali2024 #diya #diwalipost #lifetransformation

As we approach Diwali, the Festival of Lights, it's a reminder that even the smallest light can dispel the deepest darkness. This festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. It's a time for reflection, joy, and, most importantly, spreading kindness. These past few weeks have been particularly challenging for me, both personally and professionally. Despite the hurdles, it has reinforced my commitment to kindness. In times of stress, the easy path can often be to withdraw and focus on our own problems, but Diwali reminds us of the strength and resilience that comes from kindness and collaboration. At A.P. Moller - Maersk, we believe in the power of every individual's contribution towards creating a brighter, more inclusive future. Our commitment to sustainability and creating a positive impact in communities worldwide mirrors the spirit of Diwali—spreading light and joy where it’s needed most. This Diwali, let's illuminate not just our homes but also the lives of those around us. Let's choose kindness, let's choose to be the light in someone else's life. Whether it’s a simple smile, a helping hand, or a committed partnership at work, every act of kindness counts. Wishing everyone a luminous Diwali! Let's carry forward this spirit throughout the year and beyond. #Diwali #Spreadkindness #Maersk #Sustainability

🪔 One Day Leave for Diwali ❗ Is that Enough? We always feel that Indians are the most hard-working people, yet we don't get to take off an entire week for this special festival. In Western countries, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays last for 15 days or so. 👉 So can't we have at least a week off? Because Diwali is more than just a festival; it’s a time for family, traditions, and celebration. It's an emotion that shines in the eyes just like sparkles. Wearing New clothes - Eating Sweets, Visiting Families and those endless life conversations. We deserve it, right? 🔸We Should have the time to fully embrace and enjoy our cultural festivals. 🔸A week-long Diwali break could allow us to recharge, connect with loved ones, and return to work more motivated. 👉 Let’s start a conversation about making this change for ourselves and future generations. Follow CA Archit Agarwal for more such insights. #Diwali #WorkCulture #WorkLifeBalance #IndianFestivals #EmployeeWellbeing #CulturalValues #HolidaySeason
