I genuinely believe being part of the #FixTheFlow Community would have been an invaluable experience for me as a Fundraiser. But don't just take it from me 👇 Our wonderful Fellows have shared some of the main benefits of the programme for them. Some that resonate with me most are: 🤯 Headspace - oftentimes as Fundraisers, we are working in a reactive way, which has negative impacts on our ability to raise money, and on our wellbeing! Having the time and permission to think strategically about how we approach fundraising can be absolutely game changing. 🔨 Tools - when I became a Fundraiser, I had very little training on basic fundraising skills and practices. Having access to a programme that equips you with the core tools we need to do our jobs well might seem simple, but is far too often overlooked in the sector. #FixTheFlow gives people the opportunity to learn and level up those tools and practices! 🌟 Energy - Fundraising can be tiring! Especially in the current environment. Although we are all mission and values driven in our work, it can be easy to lose sight of these things when you feel like a cog in a system that's becoming more broken and competitive by the day. Becoming an IO fellow has been one of the most substantial highlights of my undergraduate years. With my IO fellowship experience, I have attained transcending growth as a result of the visionary pursuits of IO fellowship which includes: 1. A network of passionate change makers: IO fellowship serves as a network of intellectuals who have not only attained academic excellence, but also have a blazing passion to create impacts and add value to the society. 2. Financial Provisions: As a recipient of the IO fellowship 2023 scholarship, I can attest to the dedication of IO fellowship to not just academic excellence, but also to ensure that indigent students get their rights to quality education, and the chance to actualize their dreams by providing adequate financial assistance. 3. Leadership Skills: At IO fellowship, I have been put to test with tasks that have aided my leadership skills, and improved my sense of control and accountability. 4. A community that understands the beauty of kindness: From the top management to the fellows, beneficiaries and community at large, IO fellowship is a network of people who strive to not only provide financial relief to students, but also show admirable concern about our well-being. 5.
