🚀 Thrilled to share my incredible journey at Hack Fest! 🌿 Though our team, FAZE CLAN, didn't advance beyond the first round, I'm immensely proud of our groundbreaking project: EcoCred.
EcoCred has the goal "we all deserve nature " and aims to be the most transparent and rewarding tree planting project.
Deforestation is a pressing global issue, and EcoCred aims to address it by developing the most transparent and rewarding tree planting initiative. Our app empowers communities to engage in tree planting and support reforestation efforts, making it easy for individuals to contribute directly to environmental conservation.
🌳 Key Approach:
Users can discover and receive notifications about available land plots for tree planting.
A sophisticated verification system using satellite imagery and GIS ensures the suitability of land for reforestation.
Interactive tools enable users to provide regular updates on their planting activities.
Incentive mechanisms reward users with eco-friendly tokens for verified planting efforts.
💡 Challenges We Tackled:
Ensuring precise verification and validation of planting activities.
Mitigating the risk of greenwashing through rigorous checks.
Addressing regional differences in environmental impact.
Facilitating effective coordination and communication among participants.
EcoCred harnesses community power to identify, analyze, and act on reforestation opportunities, promoting ecosystem restoration through collaborative efforts.

Bittersweet Farewell to Virtuoso
After five incredible years with one of the best companies, teams, and partners I’ve had the privilege of working with, it’s time to turn the page. Today I share gratitude and reflect on the end of my journey at Virtuoso, and while I’m sad to leave, I’m equally excited for the next volume in the McElfresh family story.
In the past few months, we’ve pulled the kids from school, shed 95% of our belongings, rehomed our beloved farm animals, and put our house on the market—all to embrace a life of simplicity and adventure on the open road.
To my #Virtuoso family: thank you. The connections, memories, and transformative work we’ve done together will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s been an honor to contribute to the innovation and evolution of this industry alongside such talented, passionate people.

So this happened...
🎉 Next milestone: Standing on a stage to talk about wildlife & what we can learn from them.
Elena Doms & Katja kicked my butt because I didn't mention this last week. So here we go.
At ChangeNOW, Wildya was selected as one of the 12 favorite solutions out of 170 impact start-ups.
Meaning we had the privilege to pitch in front of a greater audience & bigger stage.
If someone had told me 1 year ago when I started this ecopreneurship journey, I would have called them nuts.
This journey is much harder than I expected: sleepless nights, self-doubts, setbacks, mental health challenges, dead ends, etc.
Something that they don't write in all those glory founder books.
So I soaked up these few minutes of joy.
No matter what will happen next, no one can take that away.
Apparently, this idea isn't crazy.
Others start to see the value in it, too.
So we will keep pushing for a world full of wildlife & happy people.
Last but not least.
People only see one person on stage, but this was far from being a one-man show.
Thank you, Cristian, for challenging me & bringing our pitch deck to entirely new levels.

#NatureTalks (providing a platform, for virtual speakers to share their voices, such as scientists, entrepreneurs, knowledge experts etc., providing education, whilst attracting support and resources for the projects, represented by the speakers 🔊
