If so, I invite you to participate in a research study aimed at understanding "What Do Teachers Do: Their Workload and its Consequences." Hi everyone, I'm Mashroofa Navroz Ali, an M.Phil student in Education at AKUIED. As part of my research, I've developed an intriguing app to delve into the challenges teachers encounter both inside and outside the classroom. But I need your help. Are you willing to contribute your experiences to this study? By participating, you'll not only provide valuable insights but also potentially inspire evidence-based strategies to alleviate workload burdens and enhance teacher satisfaction. Additionally, your input could influence institutional policies to create a more supportive environment for educators, ultimately leading to improved teaching methods and better outcomes for students. I need 20 teachers teaching classes 1 to 5 for the pilot study, which will be conducted from April 29th to May 10th, and 100 teachers for the main research phase, taking place from May 13th to May 31st. You can commit any 5 days from the mentioned dates. If you're aware of any private schools in Karachi where exams aren't taking place and it's a regular school day, please suggest me. WHY ARE CERTAIN BOOKS PHASING OUT? In the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) education system in Kenya, certain books are phasing out for the following reasons: 1. Curriculum Alignment: Books that do not align with the CBC’s skills-based approach are being replaced. 2. Outdated Content: Older textbooks with outdated information are being updated. 3. Competency Focus: Materials promoting memorization are being replaced with those encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving. 4. Inclusivity: Books lacking inclusive and differentiated content are being replaced to cater to diverse learning needs. 5. Integration of Technology: Print-only books are being supplemented with interactive digital resources. 6. Feedback: Educator and student feedback has driven the need for more engaging, relevant materials. 7. Policy Reforms: Changes in government policies require updated educational materials. I was listening to news on Sanyu Fm the other day and Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is releasing samples/formats of the new Competence Based curriculum (CBC) examinations. As a marketer working with a publishing firm for academic textbooks (Primary and Secondary) I have noticed quite often that schools, teachers and parents are purchasing the old curriculum textbooks and I'm always compelled to ask why they are buying old curriculum textbooks as opposed to the new curriculum ones. Some of the answers I get include: 1. Some teachers don't understand the new curriculum so they insist on using the old one. 2. The old curriculum textbooks have more content and are easy to understand. So my questions today will be; 1. Are we ready for this new Competence Based Curriculum? 2. How will learners pass these exams if some teachers insist on using the old curriculum? 3. What will happen to learners that are currently in Senior 4 covering the new CBC yet the new curriculum for A'level is not out yet?

CAIE / IB World or any other International Board: International board, Higher cost, Recognized worldwide, High-quality curriculum with global credibility. 2. Aga Khan Board: Internationally accepted as that of any other international board, Transparent system, Emphasizes high quality and credibility, excellent curriculum, generally less costly than CAIE but maintains very high standards 3.
