🤯 Our elders got their priorities wrong… 🛣️ They paved the way for us with grit, determination, and sacrifice, teaching us the value of hard work, family, and community — values that shaped who we are today. For that, we owe them endless gratitude. 🤒 But one thing they often overlooked was their own health. ⭕️ If we look at the generations before us — our grandparents and parents — their lives revolved around three things: 1. Work 🧳 2. Family 👶 3. Community 🕌 👏 While admirable, this intense focus came at a cost: their health. Many in their later years are facing preventable health issues, and that’s a wake-up call for us. ✍️ The lesson here? Health should be the top priority, because without it, every other aspect of life becomes harder to manage. What we do today impacts not only our lives but the lives of our children and the generations to come. 🌟 If we prioritize our health, we set a powerful example. Let’s aim for a future where people in their 70s and beyond are thriving, free from self-inflicted health problems. 💰 The time is now. Let’s wake up, take action, and make our health our greatest investment. 👴 P.s. this is my Grandfather, Sultan, a man who’s sacrificed a lot and has taught me many valuable lessons. He started exercising regularly & watching his diet more, around the age of 73, after having had heart attacks & more. Regular exercise has made him feel like he’s 20! It’s never too late to start. -——————————————————————————— Hello 👋 I’m Govinchy, and I support busy individuals in improving their health and well-being through a realistic, sustainable, and life-tailored approach! Reflecting on the journey… Today, while training, I passed by a graveyard and found myself thinking back to where I started. A few years ago, I was 280 pounds—juggling the stress of having kids, running a business, and life’s daily demands. I was working out but coping with alcohol and food, pushing myself to the brink of serious health issues: pre-diabetes, fatty liver disease, sleep apnea, and nocturnal hypoxemia. Fast forward to today—I’m down 40 pounds, have restored healthy blood markers, hit peak strength, and slowed my biological aging by 25%. My transformation didn’t happen in isolation, though. As my friend Sharran Srivatsaa wisely says, transformations need support. I owe a huge thank you to my “board of directors” for my health—my team of doctors, nutritionists, and trainers like Justin Roethlingshoefer, Shauna Heather Hull, and Nick Gurnas—who worked together to help me take control. Key takeaway: If you don’t already have a solid team in your corner, it’s time to build one. Surround yourself with people who genuinely care, get them talking to each other, and make sure they’re aligned with your true goals. They might disagree at times, but that’s healthy—take in their wisdom and make the best decisions for you. Do the work. Be accountable to yourself because that commitment extends to everyone who depends on you. Ultimately, you’re in charge—you’re the CEO of your own health. 💪 If you’re on a similar journey and want to chat, let me know. It’s easy to feel alone, but remember—you don’t have to be. #HealthJourney #LeadershipInLife #FitnessTransformation #PersonalAccountability #WellnessLeadership #BuildYourTeam #TakeControl #SelfDiscipline #HealthIsWealth #PeakPerformance #Gratitude #SupportSystem #WellnessAtWork #ProfessionalDevelopment #MindBodyConnection #LinkedInCommunity

Next week is Men's Health Week (10th - 16th June). I have a favour to ask. This is our chance to show support for men taking action on their mental and physical health. It's our chance to lead by example. Be visible next week when you take action. Share what you're doing and why you're doing it. We must normalise looking after ourselves and make that the new standard for real men. On Saturday 15th June, get up early, grab a mate or two or ten and go for a walk together. After your walk, grab a drink and just chat, about anything. If you're in Adelaide, join me as we take over the Torrens on Sat 15 June. 7am at the Torrens Parade Ground in the city. Can't walk, no sweat, we'll convene for a drink after at 8am at Lounders Boathouse Cafe, join us there. It's time to re-write the narrative around the modern man. Lead from the front by demonstrating and owning action for mind and body. Nail your healthy habits. Shine them up next week. Want a 'leg up' on where to start? Head to Wellteam.me website and press the 'get started' button. We'll suggest a full program specific exercises to start based on your response to our scorecard/survey tool. It's free and a cracking way to get started in exploring the worlds healthiest habits... and embedding them in your life.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 Not long ago, the smile you see on my face wasn’t there. My days were a struggle—filled with pain, fatigue, and the frustration of dealing with constant autoimmune flare-ups. I felt like I was stuck in a cycle I couldn’t break, just getting by rather than truly living. But I knew deep down that this didn’t have to be my reality. I refused to accept that having an autoimmune disease meant living without happiness. That’s when I discovered the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) and began focusing on holistic wellness practices. By nourishing my body with the right foods, moving in ways that felt natural, and prioritizing self-care, I noticed things shifting. Little by little, the fog lifted, my energy improved, and I started experiencing life in a whole new way. It wasn’t just about managing symptoms anymore—I was learning how to thrive. Today, this smile is more than just a sign of improved health; it’s a reflection of the joy I’ve discovered along the way. It’s a reminder of the progress I’ve made and the life I can fully live despite my diagnosis. If you’re feeling stuck and want to reclaim your joy, I’d love to support you on your journey. As your AIP coach, I’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your needs, helping you shift from just surviving to truly thriving. Let’s get started—book a discovery call with me today, and take the first step towards a healthier, happier you. You deserve it. https://lnkd.in/ghGrccqF

My wife and daughter are out of town for a week, which means 🥁 it’s time for a 7-day water-only fast! If you’re interested in joining me, comment below and we can do it as a group. I’ll be taking electrolytes and vitamins to stay balanced. So… let’s see if 80k+ people can know I’m fasting but not my wife. She hates when I do this. Robbie, Dawn, Kelli, Todd, Ricky, Gonzo… if you’re reading this and you tell my wife… please don’t. Here’s what to expect: 🥇 The first two days are the toughest. 🤯 You might mistake hunger for anxiety or depression. 😵 Lightheadedness is common. 📉 I typically lose around 1.5 lbs per day. 🧠 My alertness goes through the roof. 😡 Prepare to be hangry all week. 🚽 Bathroom trips will ⏩ 0 (more time to work) Concerns: Beyond three days, you must be cautious with how you reintroduce food. Your gut flora can struggle to readjust. Last time, I ran 21.5 miles at the end, which I dubbed the Jep Marathon. Why do this? I believe there are long-term health benefits. Fasting is known to be detrimental to cancer cells, and our ancestors evolved to thrive even with periods of food scarcity. Additionally, it’s a another test of mental fortitude. If you decide to join, remember: I’m not a doctor—I’m just an idiot. So, if you follow my lead, you’re an idiot too. Hope that disclaimer satisfies any lawyers out there. ‘I’m doing it… and I’m an idiot…’ 🤷♂️ #RecklessCommitment #7dayfast

" Sunday: A Time for Self-Coaching & Realization" In the hustle of life, it’s so easy to let our health slip down the priority list. We often neglect the very foundation that keeps us going—our well-being. I’ve come to realize that while I’ve been pushing through life’s challenges, I’ve also been sidelining my health, even though it’s the one thing that impacts everything else. It’s stressful to admit that I’ve been neglecting what matters most, but now I see that self-coaching is the key to change. Self-coaching isn’t just about physical health—it’s about taking a moment to reflect, hold ourselves accountable, and realign with what truly matters. This Sunday, I’m committing to that process. Small, mindful steps today lead to lasting progress. Self-coaching gives us the tools to prioritize ourselves, and we owe that to our future. Let’s stop neglecting ourselves and start making our health the foundation of our journey. #SelfCare #HealthFirst #SundayReflections #SelfCoaching"
