Just returned from Consensus, marking my seventh web3 conference since launching Communityone. For those who frequent conferences as I do, here are some insights I've gained along the way: (1) Be kind to everyone: You are going to see a lot of familiar faces after a while—being kind is essential, especially as everyone gets super tired by the event's close. A simple smile can make a significant difference. (2) Embrace learning from all: Engage with everyone, regardless of their relevance to your current projects. Career paths evolve, and the most unexpected conversations can give you great ideas for your product. (3) Focus on the speakers: While side events are cool, don't overlook the value of the sessions themselves. Choose topics related to your interests and attend these talks. They offer a great opportunity to gain deep insights. Plus you get to interact directly with these speakers— a benefit that many miss. (4) Dress comfortably and stay hydrated: Treat a three-day web3 conference like a marathon. Wear comfortable shoes, pack light, drink plenty of water, and try to get enough rest.
