What the public sees vs the point-of-view (POV) of the calligrapher. 👁️ During live personalisation, the public gets a front-row seat to the magic unfolding before their eyes. They witness the graceful strokes of the calligrapher’s pen as it dances across the surface, transforming plain items into cherished keepsakes. From their perspective, it’s like witnessing art come to life, each stroke adding a touch of elegance and personality to the piece. On the other hand, from the point-of-view (POV) of the calligrapher, it’s a different world altogether. Their focus narrows to the delicate balance between precision and creativity as they navigate each stroke with practiced finesse. Together, these perspectives converge to create a mesmerising experience where artistry meets appreciation, resulting in personalised creations that leave a lasting impression on both the audience and the artist. Why do public artworks containing words have so much power? Words have tremendous energy, when woven into art they create a dynamic dance of meaning, storytelling and visual intrigue - capturing the essence of a place. From ancient verses to contemporary typography, artworks containing words have captivated audiences across cultures for centuries. These artworks invite us to engage with language in unexpected ways, sparking important conversations while igniting imaginations. One of Sapien’s technical strategies is to work with text, sometimes subtly hidden, sometimes proudly displayed - giving a multi-sensory dimension to our pieces. Site-specific words or poems can be developed through engagement workshops, involving the client or community to give an additional layer of inclusivity & social value. “Sapien’s sculptures are testament to the power of art to amplify language.” ~ Helen Pheby (Ex-Director of Programme, Yorkshire Sculpture Park). Artworks: Mantra Machine, 2021, Hero Within, 2022, Vertebreath, 2023 by Sapien Clients: YSP, Private Collector & Taylor Wimpey Size Ranges: 85cm - 220cm Price Ranges: £5k - £30k Commission Enquiries >> Please get in touch via email or DM. #sapien #poems #wordworks #artandlanguage #publicart #artwithoutwalls #culturalidentity #sitespecific #sculptures #publicrealm #commissions #sculptor #contemporarysculpture #abstractart #tellingstories #cultureenrichment #engagingplaces #yorkshiresculpturepark #sculpturegarden #publicrealm #placemaking #spiritualsteel

Whether you enjoy art or you’re quick to label yourself as “not the creative type,” art therapy can be a useful tool to help you unwind and destress. Art therapy is defined as “a discipline that incorporates creative methods of expression through visual art media.” In layman’s terms, this means using art as an outlet to express your emotions and stresses. 🎨 Here are a few examples: - Using an adult coloring book to self-soothe and wind down anxieties by focusing on the present moment on colors and shapes in front of you. - Outline a heart and fill it in with words, drawings, or other types of images that represent your emotions. - Choose paint colors that calm you and make a piece of art to hang in your bedroom. - Grab a pen and paper and try your hand at a ‘Zentangle’ drawing: https://bit.ly/3jkx4jS Have you ever turned to art as a way to express yourself? This week, try a new art project, even if it’s just doodling on a piece of paper with a pen! 🖊️😉 #fulfillment #paint #art #lifedesign #investinyourself #awareness #selfcare #coaching #rootedinjoy

Title: Against the Current of Time Medium: Digital Painting Artwork Description: This piece illustrates the human struggle against time and the winding journey of life. The distressed face emerging from the tunnel represents inner turmoil, as if trapped in an endless vortex of time. The winding path symbolizes life’s unpredictable course, filled with challenges and mysteries at every turn. The outstretched hand serves as a symbol of hope—a relentless effort to gain control amidst the unstoppable flow of life. In the background, faint clock numerals remind us of mortality, as time moves forward without pause. The scattered rose beneath the path signifies fragile beauty—memories and love left behind along the way. Meanwhile, the looming shadows evoke the uncertainty and fears that accompany our steps. Through this artwork, viewers are invited to reflect on their own battles with time, their search for meaning, and the emotional dynamics of navigating life’s ever-changing journey.

Good morning everyone! Thinking about the word “goodbye” this morning. Greetings are perhaps the most relatable meaning that can be assigned to the feelings of joy and sadness. When we first meet someone, it is a feeling of joy, of sharing and anticipation of time together. But when we say “goodbye”, the nuances of meaning are myriad. It can be a personal choice, as in leaving a relationship or marriage. It can be a random act that you receive with sadness. It can be temporary as in “Goodbye, I’m going to the store”. Or permanent as a portent of terminal illness and deathbed partings. If you live a long, healthy life, you get tired of saying “goodbye” and the sadness it brings. “Goodbye”, whether uttered or quietly heard, is a signal of impending separation. And if it’s one absolute truism of the Universe, we as human beings thrive on connection, on togetherness, on grace and greetings not goodbyes. So let’s collectively decide not to utter the word “goodbye” today; let’s instead just touch the arm on parting or give a hug. Today’s art is “Color Dizzy Temaki Uzumaki”. What ratio of thumbnail experiments get tossed in the waste basket? From my personal explorations using trial and error editing- Approximately 1 out of 10 sketches are worth developing. The unresolved images are eliminated during the editing process. However, they are necessary, because they lead the way to the final version of every artwork. “The seed of your next artwork lies embedded in the imperfections of your current piece. Such imperfections are your guides – valuable, objective, non-judgmental guides to matters you need to consider or develop further.” Art and Fear, by David Bayles and Ted Orland Another painting from the “Mindscreens: mirrors” series, exhibitions that #reframed daily experiences to #reflect on them from different angles. #Creativity is Activity. #Focus on the #process. #Rapt #Pact #Daily #Drawing #Create #Habit

The combination of a brush pen and Copic markers creates fantastic art! Adding shades of grey to traditional brush pen art creates a truly mesmerizing masterpiece! Adding shades of gray to a black-and-white artwork enhances its visual depth and adds complexity, making it more engaging and dynamic. This technique allows for a nuanced representation of light and shadow, creating a sense of realism and dimensionality. By carefully applying gray tones, artists can evoke emotions and convey a rich narrative within their illustrations. This method provides a valuable learning experience for both illustrators and animators, allowing them to explore the intricacies of grayscale rendering and develop their skills in creating compelling visual compositions. Here is the continuation of 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' artwork, from brush pen art to copic grey marker finished artwork.

"YOUR DOLL" The Creative Symphony of My Work Like a sculptor shaping raw marble, I carve out projects with patience and dedication, bringing visions and dreams to life. Every day is a chapter in a constantly evolving story, a tale of challenges and triumphs that leaves an imprint on the world, even if it's often invisible to the eye. In my daily work, I see potential in what doesn’t yet exist, much like a poet finds verses hidden within the folds of words. My #mission is to breathe life into my imagination, building imaginary bridges between the present and the #future. I draw inspiration from my creations, always striving to elevate them to a higher level. My work is a modern, dynamic, and ever-changing (((#masterpiece))). It doesn't confine itself to the visible but explores the endless possibilities of imagination. I use a mix of techniques, love blending tools, and combining #concepts, #sounds, and the intrinsic meaning of words. It’s an echo from within, a labor of #love towards what could be, or an honest critique of real-world manifestations, preconceived notions, and fixed ideas. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day! #AIARTIST #Aimusic #rubbrband #stablediffusion #SDXL #Aianimation #Adobe #AivideoART
