HOW DO WE ENHANCE CHILDREN'S LEARNING ENVIRONMENT? The learning environment is a broad and profound term. It is much more than the physical environment with walls, furniture, and some toys here and there. It is vital to consider its design. The classroom should be specifically designed for little learners—and designed with the children who will spend time there! The most important thing is to consider the children's age, developmental needs, learning targets, interests, and personalities. The more the learning environment mirrors the children, the more they will love it and learn in it! In our most recent blog posts, we explore the learning environment from 3 important angles: 1️⃣ How do we assess the classroom as a learning environment? 2️⃣ How do we make different play areas visible and interesting? 3️⃣ How to create a good emotional learning environment? You can explore all from Kindiedays blog. 👉 Click the link to start! https://lnkd.in/d8kV3NmU #learningenvironment #playandlearn #earlyeducation #playfullearning #playarea #kindiedays

Did you know that passive learning is an important addition to a child's education? Aside from the instructions from a teacher in class, children also learn from the things they see and experience in their environment. This is why illustrations and charts are very important in a learning environment. We use charts and interactive resources to help our students learn extra things that are not mentioned in class or to improve the knowledge of things learned in class. You could also try this in your child's bedroom Usoolul-Iman College Usoolul-Iman Tahfeez School #PassiveLearning #EducationalEnvironment #VisualLearning #InteractiveResources #LearningTools #ChildsEducation #LearningFromEnvironment #ChartsAndIllustrations #EnhancedLearning #EducationAtHome #LearningResources #TeachingMethods #LearningThroughObservation #ChildsBedroomIdeas #EducationalPosters

This is exactly why we are paying close attention to and now enhancing our learning spaces… to reduce extraneous load.
Your student's beautiful artwork hanging across the middle of the room. They proudly look at it and show their parents. But. Let's consider another perspective. Billy is looking at the board from his desk. As he sits, his eyes dart and notice the art moving above his head. He's trying to focus on the teacher and the instruction, but his brain just can't stop noticing the artwork flickering in the breeze. His attention and focus are on other visual demands, not on the instruction being provided by his teacher. We cannot underestimate the impact which the sensory environment has on student learning. How do you display student work to honour them while also managing the overall visual load in your classroom? #sensoryprocessing #classrooms #schools #projectclassroom #occupationatherapist

What do you do when you have planned an outdoor activity but the sun comes up blazing hot? An outdoor lesson would be nice but my pupils will not be comfortable with the heat and the sun. So,we stayed indoors and made our Phonics learning fun with indoor hopscotch. This is a low-prep activity that requires only paper, transparent tape, and markers. Save this post, you might need it for a sunny or a rainy day 😊. 𝐼 𝒶𝓂 𝐿𝓊𝒸𝓎 𝒪𝒸𝒽𝑒, 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. Learning through play is a fundamental aspect of childhood development, blending education with enjoyment to create meaningful learning experiences. Through play, children explore, experiment, and interact with their surroundings, laying the foundation for acquiring essential skills and knowledge. One key benefit of learning through play is its ability to promote holistic development. Whether it's building blocks, imaginative role-playing, or outdoor activities, each play experience offers opportunities for cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. For example, constructing a tower with blocks not only enhances spatial awareness and fine motor skills but also encourages collaboration and problem-solving as children work together to achieve a shared goal. Moreover, play facilitates experiential learning, allowing children to grasp abstract concepts in a tangible way. Whether it's counting toys, pretending to be characters from a story, or conducting simple science experiments, children engage in hands-on exploration that deepens their understanding of various subjects. #RaiseAgainstAutism #PinnacleSaysItAll #PinnacleBloomsNetwork #1AutismTherapyCentresNetwork
