A poem worth sharing with your children. Just change the last line to: "And—which is more—you’ll have tried to be your best Self, my Child! " Please Forgive me, Mr. Kipling. If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build ’em up with wornout tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”; If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run— Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

At IMPACT Players, we believe that God has called MEN to be the chief disciple-makers in their marriage, family, church, business and community. A failure to encourage, equip and empower men to make disciples is the reason why 95% of churches are not reproducing disciples today. IMPACT Players: Great Husbands, Fathers, and Leaders
Missionary to Men. Assist mens leaders to draw men into deeper faith relationships by "Reflecting Honestly, Seeking God Wholeheartedly and Living Vibrantly" for Christ.
Saw this statistic today about discipleship. (...from www.discipleship.org) So what are the other 95% producing? #discipleshipchangeseverything www.SpiritualFathers.org www.NoManLeftBehind.org Chris Rondeau Dale Barnard Paul Pappy Patrick Morley

“Treat passion not as a destination but as a fuel. Follow not dreams but opportunities.” A few days ago, I came across an inspiring video from Grant Sanderson, a mathematician I truly admire. His commencement speech at Harvey Mudd College resonated deeply with me. He dismantles the cliché of "follow your dreams" and advocates for a life dedicated to adding value to others and seizing opportunities. A key point of his speech is that following your passion doesn't always lead to success, and that chance and luck play a vital role. This perspective, often overlooked by those we label as "successful," provides a more realistic and honest view. I don't believe that "if you put in enough effort, you'll achieve any goal." Most of the time, you need to be in the right place at the right time and surrounded by the right people. Effort alone doesn't necessarily lead to desired outcomes, and it's okay to change paths along the way. My takeaways are: -“It’s not just about the odds of winning a particular game; it has to do with whether the game you chose to play matches well with the way the future unfolds.” -“Treat passion not as a destination but as a fuel. Follow not dreams but opportunities.” I hope you have a chance to watch it. https://lnkd.in/dvrdVAaw
