CONCEPTUAL PROCESS: YIP YIP SOUVENIR PUPPET for SEAWORLD PARKS The souvenir product collections at Sesame’s domestic and international parks are robust and always changing — guests find something new to buy on each visit. Each year, Sesame Place Philadelphia, Sesame Place San Diego and the SeaWorld parks develop one nostalgia character for their line of basic plush. Sesame Street’s Yip Yip Martians are a fan favorite, so were a perfect addition. Because of the unique personality and physical structure of these Muppets on the show, I thought they lent themselves to both a plush and working puppet format, for extra playability. Everyone can say “yip yip yip!” Drawing on my puppet-building experience, I created diagrams, suggestions and even patterns for the tentacles. The Yip Yip Martian puppets were very popular and sold out. Definitely one of my favorite Sesame Workshop products. Wish we could have done a collection in different colors!

🎇Hey hey, Western PA, it’s fireworks time!🧨 But if you can’t make it down to The Point for the 4th of July fireworks display, can you set them off in your own community? 👉Well, it depends👈 🫵If YOU are the neighborhood fireworks director, the one wielding the lighter, then YOU must be 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ feet away from all structures. That’s 2.5 bowling lanes 🎳 away. In some states the age to legally purchase fireworks is 16. In PA, the age is 18. In other areas where forest fires and dry temps are a problem, consumer fireworks are banned altogether. Every city and township has rules that might vary but the City of Pittsburgh regulations are listed below: * Consumer grade fireworks cannot be ignited or discharged on public or private property without the express permission of the property owner * Fireworks cannot be discharged within 150 feet of a building or vehicle, regardless of whether the building or vehicle is owned by the user * Fireworks are prohibited in all City of Pittsburgh parks, baseball diamonds, or playing fields * Fireworks cannot be directed at another person or discharged while a person is under the influence of alcohol, controlled substances, or other drug Municipalities may restrict the use of consumer grade fireworks between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m., except for July 2, 3, 4, where they can be displayed until 1 a.m. Yinz be safe🧯out there, and Happy Independence Day, America! 🇺🇸 #communitymanagement #fireworks https://lnkd.in/e_6ur9Fs
