Is it normal to go on holiday and have dinner every day at the same restaurant you found on day one? My boys and I were on holiday recently and wow was it needed! On day one of our trip we found this cute restaurant that overlooked the sea. The food was fantastic (and don’t even get me started on the cocktails) but that wasn’t why it stood out above the other restaurants we tried. It didn’t even have the widest variety of dishes, and yet this unassuming restaurant called Gypsie kept pulling us back. So what was it? It was simple. They made us feel welcome. They knew when to leave us be and when to stop by for a chat. They looked after us and made sure we felt at home. Thinking of it now, it reminds me of one of my favourite Maya Angelou quotes: People will forget what you say People will forget what you do But people will never forget how you made them feel. For us at Poised this translates to remembering our client’s favourite tea brand and ensuring the house is always stocked with it. Or remembering that a certain client likes his house super cold (When I am mean cold, I mean seriously cold) and ensuring it is at his ideal temperature by the time he steps in. Or having a gift waiting at home for a client’s daughter who just graduated. What about you? How do you connect with your clients? #lifestylemanagement #London #lifestyle #aboveandbeyond #Surrey #customercentric #LondonConcierge #Concierge #tailormadeservice #

Restaurants often use subtle techniques to encourage diners to order wine. One common method is the strategic design of the wine list. By placing higher-priced bottles at the top or including rare selections, customers may be nudged to choose mid-range options that seem more affordable. Restaurants may also offer wines by the glass, making it easier for patrons to try different varieties without committing to a full bottle, often leading to higher overall sales. Another tactic is how servers describe the wine. They might recommend pairing certain dishes with wine or use descriptive language that makes the wine sound more appealing, emphasizing taste notes and origin. Additionally, wine glasses are sometimes oversized to make portions look smaller, prompting more orders. Even lighting and ambiance can play a role, with dim settings creating a relaxed mood that subtly encourages longer stays and more indulgent choices, like ordering an extra glass of wine. https://lnkd.in/eaNEV2ka

Why should you buy large format red wines? 💡 Star-Quality Aging: In a big bottle, the wine ages slowly, like a wise old sage. This slow maturation lets the flavors blend and become truly epic. 💡 Masterful Evolution: Huge bottles give the wine the time and space to grow and perfect itself, just like an artist working on their masterpiece. 💡 Fort Knox Conservation: A large bottle maintains a more stable temperature, protecting the wine like a vault guarding a precious treasure. 💡 Wow Factor and Glamour: Large bottles aren’t just about taste—they’re also about the visual impact! Perfect for making a splash at parties and turning every toast into a memorable event. 💡 VIP Cork: Large bottle corks are often of high quality and well-sealed, ensuring that nothing ruins the party inside. So, the large format can add a special touch, the magic of the wine lies in its story and journey! #sommelier #winelife #hospitalityprofessional #winery #hotel #restaurant #winepassion #vineyard #hospitality #foodandbeverage #winelovers
