That was a ton of fun, Emily Kirsch. I met a few people from portfolio companies, which was very cool.
I was looking out for you to say hello and sing praises of Watt it Takes, but my laps around didn't intersect with yours!

Building connection through curiosity and compassion. This is a beautiful TED Talk.
We live in a world that is becoming increasingly binary - us and them.
Social media's algorithm is designed to feed our insecurities, to diminish our curiosity about "the other". We are watching a world that is becoming increasingly partisan, and intolerant.
What if we challenged our discomfort and sought out people we don't agree with or who believe in things we don't?
What if we were curious? Empathetic. Saw each other's humanity.
This is a fabulous TED talk. I encourage you to watch the whole talk.

Amidst the tumultuous chaos enveloping us, I find myself caught in the crossfire, hearing voices from both ends of the spectrum. They all share a common desire: to improve our world. Yet, a important question lingers: How can we truly make things better if we remain unwilling to delve into the depths of our own emotions?
Human connection, that raw emotional thread that binds us, transcends the boundaries of politics. It dances across party lines, ideologies, and dogmas. But alas, the murky waters of politics often cloud the crystal clarity of empathy. It muddies the very essence of our connection, leaving us adrift in a sea of discord.
Perhaps, then, our path toward healing lies not in the cacophony of debates, but in the quiet spaces where hearts meet. Let us strip away the layers of rhetoric, peel back the partisan labels, and rediscover our shared humanity. For in that delicate intersection of vulnerability and understanding, we may yet find the bridge that unites us—a bridge built not of policies or manifestos, but of compassion and genuine connection.
And so, as the tempest rages on, let us seek solace in the warmth of empathy, for it is there that we discover our common ground, our shared hopes, and our collective resilience
