In recent months, the ATech team has dedicated significant effort to a special project in the agriculture technology category, and alhamdulillah we are thrilled to announce that our project has been accepted by Teknofest, out of thousands of submissions. We are now advancing to the next phase, where we will present the technical details of our project. We are eagerly awaiting the results, as acceptance would mean financial support from Teknofest to complete our project. Project Name: Shaping the Future of Large Lands with the AgriSentinel Robot Project Summary: Our project aims to develop a robotic system capable of autonomously navigating large fields and transmitting sensor data over distances of up to 10km. This data will be accessible to users via a dedicated website and includes a feature to quickly notify farmers of any fire incidents detected by a security camera. Our approach integrates ROS for autonomous navigation, LoRaWAN technology for long-distance data transmission, and artificial intelligence for image processing. Norlab's participation at #icra2024 (7/8): William Dubois: Monitoring extreme environments such as glaciers has become crucial to our understanding of climate change. However, conducting these surveys remains hazardous and logistically arduous. We propose a field report presenting a robotic platform used to record data to monitor diverse glacier features like ice canyons or moulins. A significant challenge in swarm robotics is premature convergence, often encountered in multimodal optimization problems with intricate landscapes. The integration of PSO and FLC, along with their variants, offers a robust solution to this issue, promoting better exploration and adaptability for swarm robots and enabling them to efficiently complete inspections and navigate through unpredictable scenarios.
