🎄 The Hospitality Industry Loves Christmas! 🎄 It’s not just the busyness that draws us in, though many of us thrive on the high-energy, fast-paced challenges that come with the season. When Christmas arrives, we crank it into top gear—solving daily problems, keeping the team buzzing, and ensuring our customers leave with a smile. 💪✨ But Christmas is more than just busy days and full venues. At its heart, it’s about connection, belonging, and nurturing relationships—values that hospitality lives and breathes every single day. Our role is to create spaces where people can pause, connect, and feel truly special. And when we do it right, the magic happens, often unnoticed, but always appreciated. This time of year allows us to embrace everything we love about the industry—serving others, making a difference, and sharing the joy with our teams and guests. 🎉 So here’s to a fantastic season ahead! May your venues and events be filled with guests who appreciate every moment of your hard work and dedication. Let’s make this Christmas one to remember! 🌟 Merry Christmas! 🎅🎁 #Hospitality #ChristmasSeason #TeamSpirit #CustomerExperience #HospitalityCommunity #KithandKinHospitality

"We can only deliver what we’ve got!" ✨ I recently caught up with a good friend who’s a GM at a luxurious resort hotel. When I asked him how preparations for the festive season 🎄 were coming along, he gave me a hopeful yet pre-exhausted sigh. 😅 Even though I’ve stepped away from daily operations, I still remember how intense this time of year can be for hoteliers. Guests arrive with big plans and even bigger expectations. Rates are higher 📈, volumes are up, and the team’s workload often doubles—sometimes even triples. 🙃 During our conversation, he shared a simple yet powerful reminder: "We can only deliver what we’ve got." 💡 What he meant was this: If your team has good training, they’ll deliver great service. If they have clear standards, they’ll meet them. If you’ve sourced the best ingredients 🥗, they’ll create incredible meals. But you can’t expect your team to give what they haven’t been equipped with. So, as we approach the busiest time of the year 🎁, ask yourself: What does your team need to succeed? 🤔 Do they have the right tools? 🛠️ Clear standards? Proper support? Now is the time to invest in your team. 💪 Because when you give them what they need, they can truly deliver the dream for your guests. 🌟 Here’s to a successful and joyous festive season ahead! 🥂

Embracing the Spirit of Hospitality this Christmas 🎄 "Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality." – Washington Irving In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, this quote resonates deeply with me as a current member of the hospitality industry. Hospitality, at its core, is about creating warmth and joy for others, and during Christmas, this sentiment holds even more significance. Here in Spain, the festive period brings about long days, split shifts, and a whirlwind of tasks—from perfecting dishes to ensuring guests have unforgettable experiences. For those of us in hospitality, it's a time to exceed expectations, often sacrificing time with our own families. Behind every exquisite meal, every pristine room, and every welcoming smile stands a dedicated team working tirelessly, even when fatigued and yearning to be with loved ones. The enchantment of Christmas for many guests is made possible by these individuals who wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to making someone else's day extraordinary. This holiday season, I offer a gentle reminder to: 🌟 Customers: Your kind words, patience, and appreciation hold immense value. A simple "thank you" can brighten a hospitality worker's day. 🌟 Leaders and Managers: Show empathy towards your teams, especially during this demanding period. Recognizing their efforts and fostering a caring environment can make a world of difference. To my colleagues in the hospitality sector: Let's continue igniting that spirit of hospitality, even on the most challenging days. Your hard work is noticed, valued, and treasured by many. 💡 What act of kindness have you either experienced or extended this holiday season? Let's collectively share the warmth of Christmas. Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas filled with kindness, joy, and understanding. 🎁✨ #ChristmasHospitality #KindnessMatters #HospitalityIndustry #Empathy #Leadership #CustomerService #HolidaySeason #HospitalityHeroes #WorkplaceWellbeing

To the Amazing Hospitality Fraternity Let’s face it, balancing hotel life and personal life can sometimes feel like juggling flaming cocktail shakers during a dinner rush! The late nights, endless shifts, and "always-on" energy—it’s part of what makes us hospitality pros, well, us! But hey, even rockstars need a break to tune their guitars. Here’s a little reminder for you: 👉 Your well-being matters just as much as that perfect guest experience. Take those days off (yes, actually take them), spend time with loved ones, or simply Netflix and chill guilt-free. 👉 Set boundaries—work may be a 24/7 gig, but you’re not a robot. Unplug when you can. 👉 Celebrate small wins—nailed a tough service? Pat yourself on the back. Made it through the festive season alive? High five. And here’s the most important one: You can’t pour from an empty glass, so make sure you’re filling yours. Wishing all my hospitality heroes a joyful and restful holiday season. You deserve all the love, laughter, and extra tips the world can throw your way. Cheers to you for being the heart of every celebration. Happy Holidays!

We're only nearing the end of July, but we know many organisations have already booked their team Christmas parties. Have you? Everyone has their own opinion on these seasonal events, with the general notion that they tend to be dull and follow a cookie-cutter procedure. An event you might pretend to be sick for. 👀 So if you want to blow it out of the park this year and make an exciting and unforgettable event, you know it's time for a shift. We want to make events that better reflect the authenticity, connection, and raw experiences of bringing people together. If you can get on board with this, take a gander at the Christmas party template we've crafted below. ⬇️ This itinerary involves whisking your team around the city to explore and indulge at Brisbane's most highly acclaimed restaurants and bars. We’ve worked with many of the country’s leading hospitality brands for the last 17 years and are acutely aware of the importance of advance planning for key campaigns. It’s interesting to see how different companies approach these key calendar events, particularly the big one; Christmas. We worked with one huge business who started planning for the festive season in January, as soon as the previous campaign ended! Talk about hit the ground running. We’ve also worked with businesses who’ve not contacted us about Christmas until 2 months before. A little late to take advantage of the company Christmas party bookings unfortunately. How are your plans for the festive season looking? Drop us a line if you need some inspiration and help delivering your key calendar events. #christmas #keycampaign #planning #hospitality # festive #calendar #season

11 Months Until Christmas: Is Your Hospitality Venue Ready for 2025? Christmas may have just passed, but in the world of hospitality, it’s never too early to start planning for the next festive season. With only 11 months to go, now is the perfect time to debrief, reflect, and start strategising for 2025. Ask yourself: How did this year go? Did your venue hit its targets? Were your menus, events, and promotions a hit with guests? Were there bottlenecks or stress points in operations? Taking time now to evaluate what worked and what didn’t will give you a clear picture of how to make next year even better. The key to success is preparation—and the best time to prepare is when the details are still fresh. Schedule a team meeting to gather feedback from staff. Review customer feedback and identify areas for improvement. Start thinking about themes, decorations, and how you can make your offering stand out from the competition. Remember, leaving it too late can mean missed opportunities. Secure suppliers early to avoid shortages. Begin drafting ideas for marketing campaigns and social media content. And if you hosted events like Christmas parties or festive dinners, now is the time to check in with repeat clients to secure bookings before your competitors do. In hospitality, Christmas is one of the most crucial (and profitable) times of the year. Start planning now, and you’ll not only save yourself stress—you’ll set your venue up for its most successful season yet.

Feeling Ghosted This Christmas? We're seeking insight from fellow hospitality humans! 🎄 Hey everyone, at The Urban Garden we are a family-owned, independent restaurant in Bournemouth, and we’ve been excitedly gearing up for the Christmas season. With enquiries rolling in, we’re doing everything we know about to make the booking process smooth and inviting. We're responding quickly with all the info, offering incentives to secure bookings promptly, and even following up with friendly and personalised reminders. But here’s the thing: despite these efforts, we’ve been getting ghosted! It’s a bit frustrating to see enquiries drop off without even a “thanks” or a polite decline that they've decided to go elsewhere (although those that do are very nice and engage in feedback as to why they chose elsewhere) We’re wondering if this is a trend others are experiencing, or if we’re missing a trick somewhere? If you're in the industry, are you facing similar challenges with festive bookings? What strategies have you found helpful to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings? Any tips for re-engaging those potential guests who aren't replying? We’re all ears and would love to hear your thoughts or advice! Let’s support each other through this busy (and very important for the continued success of our business) season. 🎅🎄 As a side note, and surely I'd be silly not to mention that if you’re still looking for your Christmas Party to be sorted, then get in touch and we can chat..... As long as you promise not to ghost me” 👻🎄
