3 Thoughts about Changing Careers Midlife 🤔 After pivoting, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, here are three things that have helped me: 1️⃣ It's never too late to learn! 📚 The key is curiosity and exploring avenues to foster a growth mindset. 2️⃣ Passion can be a by-product of learning and success! ✨ The most often asked question about being a trumpet player transitioning into Sales is how I could go from something I was passionate about to something I knew nothing about. I discovered that passion can be a product of a learning mindset, which fosters success when applied strategically. 3️⃣ Use and expand your network! 🤝 The exciting thing about a new career midlife is that you are gaining access to new people in a new industry. Leverage this along with other more established networks. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people; more often than not, people still want to help others. I hope that these posts are helpful. 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙇𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣? Making a career transition can feel like stepping into the unknown, a place where uncertainty looms large and doubts can cloud your vision. I get it! It's a jungle out there..... Are you in a career transition and finding yourself at a crossroads? Unsure of which path to take because you're not entirely clear about what you truly want. This lack of clarity can be like a dense fog, obscuring your view of the future and making it hard to make confident decisions. One of the reasons for your confusion is that you have not taken the time to deeply explore your true desires and aspirations. What is your true purpose? What drives you, and what motivates you? You might be so caught up in the daily grind of your current job that you haven't paused to reflect on what truly lights a fire under you, and what kind of work truly fulfills you. Another challenge is that the world of work is vast and ever-changing, with countless options and possibilities. This abundance of choices can be overwhelming, leading to indecision and a feeling of being lost in a sea of possibilities. Moreover, societal expectations and norms can play a role in your confusion too. You may feel pressure to pursue a certain career path because it's what your family, friends, or society expects of you, even if it doesn't align with your true desires. All these factors can contribute to a sense of being stuck, and unsure of how to move forward. However, by taking the time to explore your wants and needs, by peeling back the layers of expectation and external influence, you can begin to see more clearly the path that is right for you. It may not always be easy, but with introspection and self-awareness, you can navigate the journey of career transition with greater clarity and confidence. In module #8 of my Interactive Career Accelerator Course - "Seven Questions to Career Alignment" you will become laser-focused and clear about what you want and even more important, what you don't want. The pain and setbacks from making the wrong career choice can be emotionally devastating! Isn't it time you found Your True North? Link to a free preview of my course is in the comments. #CareerAlignment #CareerTransition #CareerTransformation

I just turned 3 a week ago in the corporate world! Yes, you read that right 😂. As I celebrated this small yet significant milestone I told myself a couple of things that I wanted to share, so here goes: 1. Finding your niche and purpose in your career can be difficult in this fast-paced world. If you find yourself getting stressed and worried about it, take a step back and look at the big picture no matter how vague it is. Robert Frost said, "I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep." So, some day, you will definitely find what you are looking for. 2. Be kind to yourself by taking account of all the wins you've had, no matter how big or small. It really puts things in perspective. You definitely deserve many pats on the back for everything you've gone through, regardless of what others may say. 3. Perhaps your career in reality is different from the way it panned out in your head. Life is unpredictable and uncertain, that's something that can't be changed. Trying to make peace with this fact and working towards getting your career on track is the best way to move forward. 4. There could come a time in your career where you repeatedly do the same tasks. Kudos to you🌟! It probably means you've got a hang of the job and you may not pick up new skills. But, this is no cause to fret. There is always a chance to do more for yourself. Work towards finding new interests and choose to upskill. 5. And lastly, good things take time. Just as a child learns, explores and grows, it's only fair for you to give yourself the time and space to do the same. So, trust the process and believe and you will act and achieve! #work #career #learnings

Your entire career can literally change in a year. Sounds bold, right? But here's the thing. Most folks think climbing up the career ladder is this massive, almost impossible task. Yet, if you tackle these three challenges head-on, you're setting yourself up for some serious advancement. First up, the whole "I need to be ready" mindset? It's holding you back. The truth is, you'll never be ready. Dive in headfirst. Sign up for that new project or role, then figure it out as you go. It's about growth, not perfection. Then, there's the silent wish game. If you're sitting there hoping your boss magically knows you're aiming for a promotion or craving more responsibility, you'll be waiting forever. Speak up. Make your ambitions known. Be clear and say it out loud. Lastly, remember it's business, not a social club. Sure, having friends at work is great, but when it comes to career moves, keep it professional. Decisions are made based on value and contribution, not who's grabbing drinks after work. Overcome these hurdles, and watch as doors open. Your career is waiting for you to make the move. Who knows where you'll be this time next year? #CareerGrowth #TakeTheLeap

Career growth isn’t just only about promotions - it’s about how you grow as a person. We often think progress means getting a raise or a new role. But real growth happens when you learn new skills, solve tough problems, and improve every day. Think about that one task you found so hard sometime back but now do easily. That’s growth. Careers take time. The goal isn’t to rush but to keep moving forward, learning, and improving along the way. Focus on how much you’ve learned, not just how far you’ve gone. #career #growth #corporate #jobs #learning #promotions

"I hope you will keep walking with me…" Career journeys are rarely straight paths. If you’ve ever found yourself standing at a crossroads, wondering whether to pursue that promotion, change industries or go after your dream job, you’re not alone. Sometimes, it feels like everyone else is racing ahead while you’re stuck, unsure of which direction to take. But here's the truth: no one’s path is the same, and success isn’t always measured by how fast you get somewhere. It’s about the courage to make decisions that align with who you are and where you want to go. I've seen so many professionals hesitate to take that next step—worried they’re not ready, not worthy, or simply afraid of failure. But staying in your comfort zone doesn’t serve you, and it certainly doesn’t help you grow. Promotions don’t just fall into your lap. Dream jobs don’t magically appear. They require strategy, self-belief, and, most importantly, action. If you’re waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect skill set, or the perfect opportunity, you might be waiting forever. The best time to start walking towards your goal is now. Take that risk. Ask for that promotion. Explore new career options. And most importantly, don’t be afraid to bet on yourself. I’ve walked that path, and I continue walking it, not just for myself but for those who need a little guidance, encouragement, and direction along the way. Whether you’re chasing that next big role or looking to finally pursue the career you’ve always dreamed of, I hope you’ll keep walking with me. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to explore the free resources on my website. Let’s figure out what’s next together.
