Critical to note is the collaborative aspect: it's not merely about human intervention when issues arise but also proactively involving team members to elevate guest experiences. For instance, during a busy lunch rush with 20 cars in line at the drive-thru, the AOTVA identifies a guest needing menu guidance. By setting a questions-asked threshold, it prompts the AOTVA to involve a human team member to provide personalized assistance to that guest (perhaps face-to-face in a designated parking area), enhancing service for them while maintaining operational flow and keeping the drive-thru line moving. You should be focusing on what matters for customers and he offered the formula that I have recreated in the image in this post. As an organisation that processes millions of customer interactions each year via their virtual assistant it is well worth considering Nick's learnings which also extend to: ✅ Challenge your assumptions ✅ Go for large volume ✅ Have early feedback loops > the Lufthansa team stood in line at the airport with customers, showed them first hand, and got feedback ✅ Involve IT for security ✅ Prime the customer on what the bot can do.
