Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is used in industry in a wide range of applications in various industries. It is not uncommon for this material to combine with other materials, so EPP bonding techniques are required for this reason. Common methods of combining EPPs include: 🔹 Screw fixings: Foam materials such as EPP can be bolted together. Examples of bolts that work well in this case are: sys D, sys RSD, sys DR, TSSD. 🔹 Snap/Clicks: EPP is perfectly applicable for connecting by means of snap connections - technical components made of this material can be designed to be compatible with each other and connect in just this way. 🔹 Adhesive: Materials such as EPP are difficult to bond due to their surface properties, but there are specially developed bonding solutions that enable permanent and high-quality bonding of EPP. 🔹 Overmolding/Insert molding: In this method of manufacturing EPP parts, inserts (e.g., metal inserts) are overmolded into the mold, which are responsible for the subsequent joints.
