Bath eyewear business Inspecs Limited anticipates stronger trading for H2 2024 🕶️📈 INSPECS Group plc, a Bath-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of eyewear, has hailed ‘steady progress’ over the past financial half-year, despite a slight hit to revenues. The business posted revenues of £105.4 million for the six months ended 30 June 2024 – down 5.2 per cent from the same period last year – though did manage to improve profit margins and lower operating expenses. Meanwhile, second-half trading to date has exceeded the prior year, with a stronger order book and plenty in the pipeline. That includes distributing to two major retail chains in the US and another retailer in Canada from the fourth quarter of 2024. During Q3 Innovative Eyewear announced several important milestones, including: 1. Launching its flagship Lucyd Lyte collection on Target.com 2. Signing an exclusive distribution agreement with Ecom Gulf FZCO (d/b/a Mixireal.com), which represents a significant opportunity for international expansion in the Middle East market and 3. Unveiling and exhibiting its new line of ANSI-certified smart safety glasses, Lucyd Armor, at Vision Expo West in Las Vegas. Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear Inc., comments: "We have continued the trend of outperforming sales each quarter on a year-over-year basis, which we have done every quarter for the last 15 months. I am pleased by our continued growth and excited by the potential of further expansion with the upcoming launches of new product lines. I procured these sunglasses just off the coast of Mexico about 20 feet below the surface peeking out of the seabed. The frames showed signs of wear but had alot of life left in them. The lenses were destroyed from abrasion sitting in the ocean for who knows how long. One of the 11,000 sunglasses deemed no longer functional due to damaged lenses per DAY. I held onto these thinking I could simply order a new set of lenses. Other than knowing the brand, there were no identifying marks to indicate model or size. Based on what I could find on the OEM site, I ordered a replacement set. Right shape, wrong size and there was only one size option available when I initially ordered. Along comes REVANT OPTICS with a custom lens service. Tossed the frames in the mail and a few weeks later, a fully restored pair of sunglasses. A set that would have otherwise been left at the bottom of the sea or recovered only to be tossed away.
