[Part 3 of 4] “I need to be able to run 1 day jobs, but I need it to run projects that take up to a year.” When Nathaniel set out to find a software to help run his plumbing business, he had a lot of boxes to check off, but above all, he needed the software to be flexible. It's hard enough running a business with NO software, but it's even harder running one with 3 different softwares to manage service work, long-term projects, and your financials. Quick Check: Stop Leaving Money on the Table The restoration industry has a dirty little secret: contractors are bleeding revenue every day. Not because they lack work, but because of what’s missing in the work itself. Here’s the typical story: Field staff miss crucial details. Completed work goes undocumented. Estimators step in to “fill in the blanks,” crafting a version of events that’s more fiction than fact. And when adjusters inevitably push back, contractors lose revenue they can’t defend. QuickCheck changes the game. With QuickCheck, contractors don’t have to rely on guesswork or hope their field notes are “good enough.” It’s about capturing everything—every task, every billable moment, every piece of data that proves the value of the work you do. The result? 22.4% more revenue per job. Not with gimmicks or outdated playbooks, but by fixing the leaks in your process. Here’s the big idea: If you’re leaving gaps, you’re leaving money. QuickCheck closes those gaps with precision and clarity. More revenue. Less friction. Better outcomes. Let’s stop settling for “just enough” and start capturing what you’re truly worth. Are you ready to think differently? https://lnkd.in/gztQ-GSB

"…when Bob and I built IVO Systems, we were ruthless in building simple, easy-to-use software with heavy civil specific workflows that are customizable to your operations." We researched every software on the market and realized that no one offered an "operations-first" solution. So, that's exactly what we built - a system that can keep up with (1) the nuances of heavy civil construction and (2) your company's unique workflows. Operations software shouldn't change the way you're doing things - it should make your processes easier and more efficient.

Take 15 minutes to discover how SubAssist can help you today!
Founder of InvoiceIQ and SubAssist “Subcontractor Assistance Software”. Owner Dema Services, Dema Plumbing, MAI Mechanical.
Have you ever had a leak that costs you hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars? I have, even though I’ve been a master plumber for nearly three decades. This leak wasn’t at the jobsite, though — it was back at the office. We tried many solutions over the years, but when it comes to fixing leaks on the business side of things — like losing profits because purchase orders didn’t match the latest contracts — nothing seemed to work for long. We tried manual checking, which was tedious and time consuming, and there was always the potential for human error. Boutique software solutions were costly and hit or miss on reliability. No matter what we did, we would always hit a wall and the money leaks would persist. So, as any good tradesperson would, we decided to build our own solution: SubAssist. SubAssist was born out of frustration, out of the need for a better way to do things, out of the simple desire to get subcontractors paid what they are owed for every job, every time. But there are more pain points during a build than just purchase order issues: inefficient material ordering processes from the supplier, finding the latest contract from the builder and transferring all the correct information into the accounting system, just to name a few. That’s why SubAssist goes beyond purchase order reconciliation. We made SubAssist to do it all. If you’ve been running a subcontracting business for more than a week, you know what it looks like when someone from the outside (incorrectly) thinks they have a solution to your problems. I’ve been there too. It’s the reason we built SubAssist for the trade, by the trade, and to do right by tradespeople all over the country. #BuiltByTrades #ContractAccuracy #PurchaseOrders

Making life easier for contractors is one of the reasons we do what we do. Get rid of the stress. Win more tenders - make more money. Like any good build, it’s all about using the right tools. 🔨 The right software can save hours. Hours used to make more money. 💸 And Eque2’s EValuate software helps us to do just that. 👷♂️ No more unnecessary spreadsheets confusing things 👷♂️ No more wasting time searching for data We’ve chosen to use Eque2’s EValuate construction estimating software to remove all the bull💩 and let us get on with the work. 🔔 Save this as a reminder for later when you’re looking for a contractors QS to partner with on your next project. #construction #software #constructionservices

It’s only 5% though! We’ll all have noticed things seem to be shrinking and that the world feels like we’re just not getting value for money anymore. In many instances there’s really not much we can do about it and it becomes a personal choice. But what about when it isn’t? What about when we could be strong and think “hang on this isn’t right” Take the lowly footpath (bear with me) near my house. I expect that some years ago, the clearing and maintaining of this footpath was secured as part of a framework package and that let’s say it was 1200mm wide with 2 visits a year. Now year one the contractor saves a bit of money by not going right to the lamp post because “it’s only 5%”. Nobody pulls them up on it. Year two they realise if they just go up to the veg it can be done twice as quick so it saves them a bit more and after all “it’s only 5%”. By the end of the framework, that footpath is 718mm wide and looks something like the below. When a new contractor comes in they say oh this isn’t what we priced and by the time the material etc is added and removed it will probably cost about 50% of what it would to maintain. This actually means that you’re paying 150% more. When you look at it like that it’s not only 5% at all. *Ralph for scale
