By introducing are courses and our Totara LMS in Welsh, we aim to provide an even better learning experience for our Welsh-speaking users. Our first customer to take advantage of this - Ateb will allow its learners to navigate there platform, access course materials, and engage with interactive content in their native language. This simple skill has been a game changer for me in my professional life. Creating materials like worksheets, video lessons, flashcards, quizzes, and assessments wasn’t a challenge because I already had the skills. Meet the educators and founders behind OL&LA, Kristie Shelley and Maya Valencia Goodall! Kristie and Maya started their careers as classroom teachers and met as facilitators, training teachers in Structured Literacy across the United States. Together, they interacted with educators, sharing effective instructional practices. During this time, conversations with administrators centered on Multilingual Learners and how to help these students in particular. Kristie and Maya took their practical experience and research knowledge to create a curriculum to help students become bilingual by learning English. After great success, their company was acquired, and they built an edtech program, also for Multilingual Learners. Now, you can find them both putting their expertise into making meaningful professional learning courses at CORE Learning.
