𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲'𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, we can no longer turn a blind eye. You may not want to intervene directly and that is totally understandable but to walk by and ignore specific signs if you believe a child or adult is at risk of harm, this may have fatal outcomes. It is a Collective Responsibility … The notion that “safeguarding is everyone’s business” reminds us that protecting those who are vulnerable is not a task for a few, it’s a collective duty. When we all stay alert, informed, and willing to act, we create a community where people feel supported and safe. By doing our part, whether big or small, we contribute to a world where safeguarding is the norm, not an afterthought. When we look out for each other, especially those who cannot protect themselves, we build stronger, safer, and more compassionate communities. Safeguarding is not just about intervention; it’s about prevention. And prevention starts with each and every one of us. 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦: Immediate danger, call 999 (in the UK) or the emergency services in your country right away. Provide clear details of the location and situation. Contact Local Authorities For less urgent concerns, you should contact your local safeguarding authorities: For Children (Child Safeguarding) NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) for advice or to report concerns: Phone: 0808 800 5000 #EverybodysBusiness #safeguarding #beyourbest #domesticabuse #childabuse #youthviolence #bestpractices #childprotection #safeguard #youthwork #safeguarding
