Knox Martin Foundation for Brain Cancer Research’s Post

Introducing KMF’s March Community Member of the Month: Camille Holcomb (Margot Holcomb). Camille has been an active member on KMF’s volunteer board for two years, dedicating her time and energy to help further our fundraising and community initiatives around Athens and Atlanta. Camille is a fourth-year student at the University of Georgia, majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences. She hopes to become a certified Child Life Specialist. Last year, we tasked Camille with recruiting a team of fellow students to form a KMF Ambassador Group on campus. Today, she is leading that very group! Over 20 student volunteers have joined her team to expand KMF's reach at the University of Georgia. This Friday, KMF Ambassadors will host their very first fundraising event: GIRLS DAY OUT, featuring local pop-up shops & a closet sale benefitting KMF! Planning & executing a fundraiser of this scale is no easy task—but Camille has led her inaugural Ambassador group seamlessly. We are blown away by her dedication for KMF and the way she serves our community! In her own words "Getting involved with KMF has been one of myfavorite experiences thus far in college. Although I didn't personally know Knox, seeing the impact he had on so many people inspired me to contribute to the cause and make a difference for those affected by brain cancer.” Thank you, Camille. It’s people like you who truly make a difference in organizations like ours. You are helping us give someone else’s Knox a shot at a longer life! If you live in Athens, stop by GIRLS DAY OUT this FRIDAY to join Camille & her team for fun, shopping, and giveaways benefitting KMF.
