Welcome back!
Today, we’re taking our first steps in configuring the Sales module in SAP S/4HANA! 🛠️ For this, we’ll need a company ready to take on this transformation—so let me introduce you to my fictional project, but first, a little introduction.
Being born in 1994, I grew up witnessing rapid technological advancements. My first phone was a Motorola T-190 📱 with a monochrome display, and downloading a movie took hours, leaving the phone line unusable! Now, I can download GTA San Andreas on my phone in minutes while waiting for the bus! I was part of that tech revolution as a consumer, but today, we’re on the brink of a new one—a transition to a sustainable economy. 🌍 This time, I want to be on the active side of change.
So, meet my imaginary company, Spanish Manufacturing Corporation (SMC). 🏢 SMC is a strong, medium-sized organisation producing textiles, packaging materials, and plastics for OEM companies. As sustainability becomes a priority worldwide, SMC has decided to join the movement by introducing eco-friendly alternatives across its product lines. 🌱
SMC is primarily based in Europe, with its main production operations in Spain 🇪🇸, which is also its largest market. France and Germany are important markets too, so SMC has subsidiaries in these countries with dedicated resources. Other European and international customers are served from its Spanish headquarters.
I hope this introduction sparked your interest! Dive into the attached PDF 📎 to learn more about Spanish Manufacturing Corporation and the first steps in configuration.
As always, feel free to share your thoughts and comments below. Looking forward to our journey together—see you soon! 👋
