Wow — we’ve just hit a “weighty” milestone. As of November 30, 2024 - 1 *billion* tons of material has been moved via Komatsu’s FrontRunner automated haulage system (AHS) in Canada! (That’s about 8 billion wheelbarrow trips’ worth.) Introduced in Canada in 2013, AHS is transforming the way mines operate. Over 170 automated haulage trucks are currently in commission across the country, increasing safety, productivity and sustainability.
