Our goal is to significantly increase the feel-good character of public spaces by using light. The ten letters from an Austrian poet, novelist - Rainer Maria Rilke to a young poet undergoing the fear of mediocrity and criticism laid down a roadmap for a successful artistic and creative life. The beauty of Rilke’s letters is that they are not limited to those strictly in the creative professions; rather it is a roadmap for every person who wants to live a fulfilled life involving continuous transformation of inner and outer riches. That is also why art is important in our lives. Rilke through his ten letters, implores the reader to cultivate authenticity, empathy, and patience to pass through all events in their lives. In today’s times the written communication has become so handy and easy that you can send millions of sentences from one side of the globe to the another within few milliseconds. This convenience of communication has also stolen away the sanctity, sanity and strength of the words and emotions they invoke which were actually supposed to transform our worlds in better constructive ways. After reading these letters from Rilke you will appreciate how effectively he distilled down the divine wisdom of life in few pages. A book costing less than one time meal can transform your whole life. This is the power of a true artist. Find out more in my blog post. 📗 | I just live from day to day Unfortunately, due to other obligations, the STORYBOOK paper 🗞 (my blog page dedicated to tapping into conversations encompassing lifestyle, poetry, entertainment, business and politics) has been on a brief hiatus. Nevertheless, last week I had the opportunity to upload the second instalment of Bliss's Corner called 'I just live from day to day'. 📗 | What is Bliss's Corner? Bliss's Corner is a brand-new component of the STORYBOOK paper, which aims to provide readers with amazing poetry by the incredibly talented writer Bliss! The latest addition to Bliss's Corner is the beautifully crafted poem titled 'I just live from day to day'. The poem is loosely based on Richard Wright's seminal work 'Native Son' and delves into themes of systemic injustice, societal conditioning, and the harrowing realities faced by marginalized individuals within American society. To read the latest edition of the STORYBOOK paper please be sure to click the link below and subscribe to the blog for more independently written content. Furthermore, if you are a writer and are looking for more platforms to proliferate your literary art please be sure to message me. At the STORYBOOK paper, we are actively seeking for more writers, of all kinds, to join the platform. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dfJ2g6sN Until next time 👋 #poetry #independentwriter #blog #blogger

Rewind on 2024. In March I happily sat down with YouTuber According2mzshellz, to share the inspiration that led to the publishing of my first book In My Mind: A Collection of Poetry and Photography from a Self-Professed Ambivert. Book Summary The poetry and photography of IN MY MIND takes a peek at self-talk and reflections on life experiences with a desire to discover truth and purpose. The poems demonstrate the capacity we have as human beings to conduct self-analysis and unearth deeper meanings behind various events that take place in our daily lives. Some of the relatable themes covered include: Grief, Self-doubt, Patriotism, Nature, Self-advocacy, Distrust and Introspection. The accompanying photographs bring each poem to life visually. It is the hope that IN MY MIND becomes a mirror for any reader - that you see yourself and recognize that you are not experiencing the eventualities of life alone. We are all on a journey of self-discovery that is taking us on a path towards self-fulfillment. #selfreflection #ambivert #inmymind #soulsearching

🔥 "The pen is mightier than the sword." - Edward Bulwer-Lytton. But is it really? In a world where actions often speak louder than words, can a well-crafted phrase truly wield more power than direct action? What do you think? Have words ever changed the course of history more effectively than actions? #writingadvice #amwriting #writingmotivation #NowNovel #writingtips #writerslife #writingstruggles #amtryingtowrite #writingquotes #writingcommunity #writerquotes #writinginspo #writersjourney #edwardbulwerlytton

Recently my 19-year old son experienced for the first time a phone with a rotary dial visiting the "John Giorno’s Dial-A-Poem" exhibit at The Museum of Modern Art. My #WONDERMORE was in the moment he asked me for help in how to use it! About the exhibit: "In 1968, at the dawn of a telecommunications revolution, John Giorno began delivering instant poetry through Dial-A-Poem, a free telephone hotline in New York City. Reinforcing that “much poetry is intended to be heard, not merely read,” he invited a cross-disciplinary network of peers to recite their works, which he recorded and played back using industrial-sized answering machines. The result was “a collage of other poets, which becomes a work of art in itself that changes daily.” Giorno’s vision for a shared, open-access repository of information was groundbreaking in a pre-digital world.
