Do you measure your worth by how much you do? 💼 It’s so easy to fall into the trap of thinking your value depends on how productive or helpful you are. 🙇♀️ But this mindset can lead to burnout and exhaustion, even when no one else is pressuring you to stay late or do more. When you learn to recognize your inherent worth, it's so much easier to actually set boundaries, delegate tasks, and stop before you're totally depleted. ✨ Share this post with someone who does wayyy too much and deserves a break. Save this post for those days when you're overdoing it trying to prove how good and helpful you are. #WorkLifeBalance #MentalHealthAtWork #ProductivityTips #LeadershipDevelopment #EmployeeWellbeing

This past weekend, courtesy of the Svenska institutet I gained invaluable insights into Self Leadership🚀 and learned an effective technique for managing stress. According to Kegan and Lahey (2016), "The single largest cause of work burnout isn't work overload, but working too long without experiencing any personal development." 💡 Self-leadership revolves around three core components: 1️⃣ Self-awareness 2️⃣ Emotional awareness 3️⃣ Compassion To truly develop these capabilities, focus on: - Increasing self-awareness and consciousness - Enhancing your ability to regulate emotions and make long-term, functional decisions - Cultivating compassion—towards yourself and your environment, fostering empathy, trust, and presence At Optimal Performance, you'll find yourself energized, focused, and fully committed. This is where you encounter “positive stress,” which propels growth and creativity 🌱. I’ve shared a few slides below highlighting these key takeaways. Apply them in your work or studies and let’s strive for optimal performance together! 💪🏾 #SelfLeadership #PersonalDevelopment #EmotionalIntelligence #StressManagement #OptimalPerformance #LeadershipGrowth #CompassionInLeadership #Mindfulness #SelfAwareness #ContinuousImprovement #BurnoutPrevention #WorkLifeBalance #PositiveStress #SISGP

So I promised I would share more about the things my clients go through. Question for you… Do you ever feel like stress is taking control of your life? For many business owners, directors, and executives, stress becomes a constant companion - one that’s easy to ignore until it starts affecting your performance. I see this often in my work with high achievers. Stress may start subtly - tight deadlines, high stakes - but over time, it builds. Left unchecked, it can lead to burnout, reduced productivity, and even health issues. In our coaching, we start by recognizing the signs of stress. Awareness is the first step toward managing it effectively. Without this crucial step, any strategy to cope with stress is likely to fall short. If you’re curious about how to identify stress before it derails your progress, DM me. Let’s discuss how you can achieve optimal performance while maintaining your health and work-life balance. #StressAwareness #ExecutiveCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #WorkLifeBalance #OptimalPerformance #CorporateWellness

Self-sabotage can be your downfall. 📉 Do you often feel you're seeing no growth at work? 😒 Maybe you're overlooking your own behaviour. Here’s how to keep yourself in check when your behaviour turns self-defeating 👇 ➡️ Monitor your thoughts. Become more aware of your thoughts and emotions without judgment and recognize self-sabotaging patterns as they arise. ➡️ Challenge your negative thoughts. Whenever you catch yourself engaging in negative self-talk, challenge those thoughts with evidence to the contrary. ➡️ Set micro-goals. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by larger goals, break them into smaller, more manageable tasks. ➡️ Seek support. When needed, don't hesitate to reach out to colleagues or your manager for support and encouragement. ➡️ Embrace imperfection. Accept that mistakes and setbacks are a natural part of the learning process . . . #successmindset #growthmindset #workplacewellbeing #goalsetting #mentalhealth #wellbeing #employeeengagement #personalgrowth #workculture #productivity #personaldevelopment #professionalgrowth #employeewellbeing #wellbeingatwork #mondaymotivation #eap #hrinsights #hrcommunity #humanresourcesmanagement #culture #resetyoureveryday

When I think back on my corporate days… And the conversations I have every day with corporate leaders… How do I deal with stress is a recurring topic. High-stress work environments can be tough, and sometimes brutal, to navigate. It’s Friday, so I decided to have a little fun with this topic. And found a handful of images that portray common stress themes: Never enough time Everything breaking down Can’t get the answer Cleaning up everyone’s sh*t No idea what you’re s’posed to do And ohh, there are so many others. 😲 Any one of these can weigh heavily on well-being and career satisfaction. And lead to burnout, decreased productivity, and a loss of motivation. I could go into the multitude of stress management tips, but I’ll save that for another day. For today, which one of these images represents what you’re dealing with? Have a little fun with me and comment below 😄 #StressManagement #LeadershipResilience #CareerGrowth #MentalHealth

From Personal Loss to Professional Growth: The Power of Stress Management 🖊️ Recently, I was asked to write an article about my journey navigating grief —a deeply emotional task for me. 💔 Working through those feelings was challenging, but it reminded me how crucial it is to manage emotions in a healthy way. I also find writing therapeutic. Here are three strategies I employed to navigate the experience: 1️⃣ Acknowledge the emotions – Allowing myself to feel grief rather than suppressing it. Cue the tissues! 2️⃣ Got out in nature – Perfect time to get out and walk the dog 🐶 3️⃣ Seek support – Ironic timing that a girlfriend reached out at that very moment. Talking to a friend who offered perspective and comfort. As leaders, it’s essential to remember that your employees may be going through things you’re unaware of. 🌱 Educating your team about stress management not only helps them cope but also benefits your organization by: ✔️ Increasing productivity and focus ✔️ Boosting morale and team cohesion ✔️ Reducing burnout and turnover rates By fostering a supportive environment, you contribute to both personal and organizational growth. 🌟 #Leadership #StressManagement #EmployeeWellbeing #MentalHealth #GriefJourney
