Enabling a better world ~ Starting from Greece I’ve been abroad for 16 years. Never really worked in Greece (and never thought I will). My home country was too far from the vision I had for the world. A lot of competition, negativity, blaming without acting. I never really thought I will create anything here. But since last year when I came back to visit my sister’s little twins I observed that something is changing… All of a sudden I see more international people moving here. A genuine interest for progress. A feeling of revival of the spiritual traditions. It is time! I know it. I can feel it. This November we will be gathering in a private property in Epidavros among the representatives of the 12 pillars of a more beautiful world. The 12 pillars are: 1./ Sustainable Hospitality 2./ Biological Agriculture & Farming 3./ Conscious Business 4./ Clean Energy 5./ Innovative Technology 6./ Medicine Music 7./ Real Estate 8./ Impact Investments 9./ Psychology & Energy 10./ Immersive Art 11./ Philanthropy 12./ Spirituality This is NOT an open invitation. This is a 3-nights, highly curated, retreat-style gathering of people who can move and shape the future of this country and beyond. We have 16 limited spots and will need to be very selective to guarantee a high level experience and impact. Apply to join from this link: https://lnkd.in/dZ4A6veG

Don’t you love it when wisdom whispers to you in the noisiest street? Or in this case, spice market. A short wander after leading a workshop in Istanbul had me reflecting on the human capacity for creativity and asking “what could the world be like if we unshackled our imaginations?” That’s the core question at the heart of our climate change-inspired international arts project for young people, Galapagos. It’s a big idea which is already germinating with schools and communities around the world. People who, like us – and maybe like you – recognise how important it is that young people connect with their deep resources of imagination and creativity in these times of great change. At the project’s heart is a roller coaster of a theatre show for families which we are piloting in London in Jan '25. Times are hard for the arts in UK, but we’re pressing ahead fearlessly. And - we need friends. So, if you feel you can support us, even in a small way, please take a look at our GoFundMe site. There’s room for everyone in Galapagos. https://lnkd.in/dQ3t-dxm #creativitymatters #powerofimagination #climatechange

SUKKOT: From Desert to Dreaming and Back to Today Sukkot may have originated in Israel but its message resonates here in Australia. Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' traditional wisdom and deep relationship with the land provide a unique lens through which to view and appreciate our festival today. One of the central foci of Sukkot is the sukkah, that fragile hut with a leafy roof through which we can see the sky. Reminding us of the Israelites' journey through the desert, our focus on embracing simplicity and nature during this time parallels the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' practices of living in harmony with the natural environment. Just as, for tens of thousands of years, Indigenous Australians have managed our land sustainably through their understanding of the seasons and the cycles of growth and renewal, so too does Sukkot celebrate the rhythms of the natural world. In Israel, Sukkot marks the end of the summer harvest but here in Australia, with Sukkot falling in Spring, our blooming flowers and budding trees complement the festival’s theme of renewal and growth. Our Indigenous cultures teach that caring for the land is an act of respect and a way to honour the interconnectedness of all living things. As we wave the arba minim — the palm, myrtle, willow and etrog – we’re reminded of our connection to the environment and of our responsibility to nurture and preserve it for future generations. Sukkot is a time for community with an emphasis on the value of hospitality. With social connections becoming more and more fragmented in today’s world, the open structure of the sukkah reflects Australia’s open culture of welcoming others and creating a sense of belonging. Sukkot provides an opportunity for us to demonstrate those core values, to strengthen connections and to embrace the idea that true security is found not in physical structures but in the bonds we create with each other. Sukkot’s message is simple but powerful: life is fleeting, nature is a gift and community is essential. By embracing the essence of Sukkot, we aim to find joy in the present, to cherish the world around us and to seek comfort not in what is permanent but in what is meaningful.
