In today’s financial markets, a key data engineering challenge is harmonizing and standardizing the diverse data formats, structures, and types from various sources. Whether it’s market data, transactions, or external feeds, achieving consistency and interoperability is essential for accurate analysis and AI-driven insights. To address this problem, J.P. Morgan's Fusion, a cloud-native data platform for institutional investors, launched data containers in May 2024. These containers use a common semantic layer to model and normalize data across multiple providers, sources, and formats—giving investors a consistent, integrated view of their data.
