Having insightful conversations with international accountants and business leaders at HLB International's Global Summit 2024 made me realize that the theme, 'Leadership Renaissance,' perfectly captured the spirit of our discussions about the impact (and hype) of Generative #AI. My favorite part was the live Q&A, where one comment really resonated with me: Generative AI might not always boost productivity in a measurable way, but it can improve the quality of our experiences and make people feel more satisfied. An audience member suggested that we need new ways to measure value beyond just the usual metrics. This gives me hope for a future where leaders focus on real, meaningful growth—not just numbers; imagine judging a developer by the number of lines of code they've written!

If there is one outstanding element that towers over everything related to AI in the workplace, it is that bespoke leadership training - even the post-pandemic variety - needs a radical overhaul. AI is no longer just an elective from a list of courses; it now demands central attention and must be the fulcrum around which leadership development revolves. Gone are the days when AI was merely a catalyst for streamlining and transforming operations. Today, it also enhances our human qualities - our empathy, insight, and wisdom. Leaders must therefore embrace a "both/and" mindset, leveraging AI to amplify their inherent human strengths. This is where, as trainers and coaches, we have an important role to play. #LeadershipTraining #CareerGrowth #CAIO
