GGA recently supported 10 exciting and diverse innovation projects outlined in the video here https://lnkd.in/gXJgmaKw The projects were led by external stakeholders and funded by the Australian Government’s Agricultural Innovation Hubs Program, with support from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and was initiated through the South-West WA Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub. Focus areas ranged from paddock-level carbon benchmarking to drone-mounted grazing monitoring for the southern rangelands and improved vineyard floor management. "The GGA’s innovation mindset centres around aligning research, development, extension, and adoption with the practical needs of the agricultural sector. We address grower-led challenges by bringing grower groups, farmers, researchers, policymakers and industry experts together to co-design solutions that transcend traditional boundaries. This strategic alignment ensures that innovation is not confined to laboratories but translates seamlessly into on-the-ground practices. By promoting sustainable, resilient, and adaptive agricultural practices, we continue to support the pursuit of a more robust and future-ready state." says GGA Innovation Manager Jo Wisdom.
