🌟 Why Extracurricular Activities Help Your Child Grow 🌟 Extracurricular activities, like sports, music, or art, are more than just fun! They help children learn important skills that go beyond the classroom. These activities teach teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, helping kids grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. Let me tell you a story: Meet Rohan, a shy 8-year-old who loved to draw but didn’t feel confident talking in front of others. His parents enrolled him in an art club, where he learned not just about drawing but also about sharing his ideas with his friends. Over time, Rohan became more comfortable expressing himself, and his confidence grew. Now, he's not only creating amazing artwork but also sharing it proudly in front of others! Like Rohan, your child can benefit from participating in activities they enjoy outside of school. It’s a great way to help them discover new interests, make friends, and build self-confidence. 👩🏫 Ready to help your child grow? Enroll them in our extracurricular programs today! Let’s build a brighter future together. 🌟 #ExtracurricularActivities #ChildDevelopment #Parenting #Confidence #LifeSkills #EdTech #EnrollNow

When we think of early years education, images of storybooks, play-dough, and counting blocks might come to mind. But one essential component that often gets overlooked is #sports. Introducing structured physical activities for young children can be a game-changer in their development. Here’s why: ✨ Benefits of Including Sports in Early Childhood Education: 🔹Physical Development: Regular #physicalactivity builds motor skills, coordination, and overall strength, setting a foundation for healthy habits. 🔹Cognitive Growth: #Sports encourage strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to follow instructions—skills that are transferable to academic learning. 🔹Social Skills: #Playing in groups helps children learn teamwork, communication, and empathy, fostering a sense of community. 🔹Emotional Well-being: #Exercise boosts mood, reduces anxiety, and increases resilience, contributing to a happier and more balanced child. Here are some practical classroom examples to illustrate how sports can be incorporated into the early years curriculum: 🔹Mini #ObstacleCourses: Set up simple obstacle courses using soft mats, tunnels, cones, and balance beams. This helps children develop motor skills, balance, and coordination while keeping the activity fun and engaging. 🔹Simple #TeamSports: Introduce basic, non-competitive versions of sports like mini soccer or tag, focusing on basic rules, teamwork, and fun. Children learn to share, communicate, and play fair, fostering social skills and early sportsmanship. 🔹Yoga for Kids: Incorporate #yoga sessions with child-friendly poses like "tree," "baby," or "butterfly." This helps with flexibility, relaxation, and self-regulation while boosting their concentration and emotional balance. 🔹Relay Races: Create age-appropriate relay #races using beanbags, hula hoops, or soft balls. These help improve running skills, develop a sense of timing, and encourage teamwork. 🔹Ball Games: Simple #throwing and #catching games or rolling a ball back and forth with partners help develop hand-eye coordination and social interaction. #EarlyChildhoodEducation #SportsInEducation #HolisticDevelopment #ActiveLearning #ChildGrowth

Have you ever wondered why children have that magical ability to turn anything into a game? You give them a cardboard box, and suddenly, it's a spaceship. A spoon? Now it's a drumstick! It’s as if they see the world in a way we’ve forgotten. But isn't that precisely what we want to nurture? In this video, we see the wonders of imaginative play in action. From turning mundane objects into fantastical props to role-playing, these experiences are more than just fun, they’re foundational for learning. Did you know that play helps children develop problem-solving skills, social understanding, self-regulation, resilience, and even early math concepts? Yes, counting the imaginary friends at a tea party does count as math! So, what's the takeaway for us as educators and parents? Maybe it’s time to look at those scattered toys not as a mess but as a sign of a thriving, curious mind at work. Could it be that every spilt juice box is a chemistry experiment? Or that every tower of blocks is a future architect’s first skyscraper? Here are some playful tips for fostering this creativity: 📌 Let kids lead their play. It's okay if the "rules" don't make sense to us adults—it's their world, after all! 📌 Things like blocks, art supplies, and costumes can become anything with a dash of imagination. 📌 Sometimes, being a dragon in their knight adventure or the chef tasting their “special dish” is the best way to engage. 🎗 Remember, the next time you find yourself surrounded by imaginary tea cups or stuffed animals in superhero capes, you're witnessing some "serious brain-building in progress. " So, how do you encourage playful learning? And more importantly, have you ever been cast in an unexpected role during playtime? (Spoiler: I’ve been everything from a pirate to Burj Khalifa that got decorated for Eid!) 😊 #playbasedlearning #EYFS #EYFSTeachers #EYFS_ISCS_Sharjah #earlychildhood #Earlylearning #Earlydevelopment #kindergarten #teachers #leaders #parents

When we want to offer children extracurricular activities but they are anxious, it's essential to approach them with patience and understanding. Offering reassurance and validating their feelings while gently encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone. My daughter wanted to go to ballet but didn’t want me to leave her. I started by staying in the room by the door, then I moved to the other side of the door and then the door was shut but I was there before her, allowing me to leave her there. It took what felt like ages (3 years) but over time she gained trust and learned that she was safe. Now she stays alone for 2 hours, helping with the baby class before hers! Beginning with small steps, allowing them to gradually acclimate to new environments or activities, these small steps could be as small as staying for 10 minutes first and gradually increasing or it could be going with a friend, anything that helps break down the barrier. Explore the options together, focusing on activities that align with their interests and strengths. Engage with supportive adults/facilitators or mentors who can offer guidance and encouragement, if they have a non-negotiable approach it may be worth considering another group. Most importantly, check in with them after they have taken part enabling them to validate their feelings but recognise that it is okay to feel nervous and that growth often comes from taking small steps in facing challenges. While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about - Angela Schwindt. Since it's Children's day, here are five lessons we can learn from our children: 1. Everyday is a new adventure - Kids are fascinated by everything they experience for the first time, and are eager to explore and jump at every opportunity to find out. Just like them, we should start our day with an open mind and a mindset to learn, discover and face new challenges. 2. Be curious and learn - Our children find it hard to take 'no' for an answer. They have a hunger to learn, and so should we. 3. Inclusivity & diversity - Most children are open to meeting new people. They would engage and play with anyone they meet, teaching us inclusivity and tolerance for each other. 4. Do not overthink - Children don't think automatically about the worst when presented with a new situation. They're eager to try something new, and probably take rejections much better. Think positive and be excited about what you can offer to the world. 5. Be confident and just do it - Look at how our children learn to acquire knowledge and use it to their advantage. Harness this mindset for yourself too. Don't rob your chance of taking up new opportunities just because you are limited by your narrow view of who you are and what you can offer. Don't forget you are #MadeForMORE and #gracedforexploits Happy Children's Day to every Uncommon Child ❤️ This is your sign to treat them to something special today!
